Agreed, usually our wing backs pin opposition back and provide width. But Chelsea played 5/6 at the back. I would have liked Poch to go with 2 strikers. Janssen and Kane. Give their Centre backs something different to defend.
Lots of reports saying we will bid 20 mill for Barkley soon

Dier has potential but unlike the above prone to a dodgy tackle and yellow
Pretty much just going to be repeating what was said on MNF, but our issue was a lack of pace and width. Whilst he doesn't play deep, Eriksen still dictates the tempo so I disagree with the idea that we need a Carrick type player starting for us.
Depth and Pace, or rather a lack of depth and pace, are out two biggest problems right now.
A fit rose and a new rb should go a long way in helping with that.

We need a real replacement for Walker, and from wots on another thread it ain't Aurier.
We need Danny Rose back.
We need a real second striker.
Then maybe we can start looking at youngsters for the future.
I do not see us having too many problems at Wembley v the majority of the league.
Other teams will come and sit like Chelsea, but with inferior players. If we play like we did on Sunday we will put away 9/10 teams.
A tailored approach v the big sides may be the one, but not the 4321 such as Sunday. Too narrow, too defensive and isolates the front three. Perhaps with quicker fullbacks, but if we have Trippier and Davies starting I think we need either a back 3 so they are up the pitch, or if it is a back 4 then Son must be in the side.
I suppose it may have worked better to have Winks in there instead of Dier or Wanyama though.
