Anyway once again our slow stuttering start has ruined any chance we have of winning the league. Not that I thought we had any chance anyway but a good start would bloody help wouldn't it for once

I made an article about this issue after the Chelsea match, and ended up with posters Hengy and Analog defending Levy and me being called a fool.

It's just not good enough. Sissoko being turned to as an option, Janssen clearly not fancied by Poch, and Kane still can't score in August. Poch wouldn't suddenly not fancy Janssen, this would have been realised for a long time, so why the fack have we not done anything to bring in another attacker all summer?

Wembley and our dumbass transfer policy are facking us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

There's no law that says that we should have all of our players signed before the first game of the season, but the fact that Poch says he wants 3 more before the deadline is poor. Why are we waiting so long to try and get deals done? We've had ample time, it's just a stupid policy. If the deals didn't get done because the selling club moved the goalposts or another club came in late and beat what we were offering it would serve us right tbh.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. He wants 3 more and no doubt another attacker is one as I'm sure he doesn't rate Janssen anymore. How can he if he's only got 2 minutes in 3 games while Kane struggles for goals?

3 games into the season with a weak and unfancied bench and no new signings to play in them is poor stuff.

Extremely poor and I don't think it will be long before Pochettino gets fed up and leaves. Let's see the excuses coming out of the Levy defenders then. You can see he looks stressed and keeps mentioning signing players which he has never done before. He looks a frustrated figure and clearly hasn't been backed so far this window.

Don, agree. Levy and Poch (in case anyone starts having a go) should have woken up and smelt the coffee in Poch's first season when we signed late AFTER a stuttering start.

To be fair Don, Poch himself was very poor yesterday, WTF did he not bring on both Winks and Janssen at 1-0 with 30 minutes to. What is the point of making subs with 3 or 4 minutes to go. Yesterday was screaming out for a second striker to play alongside Kane, and Janssen was nowhere to be seen. Now if he doesn`t fancy him, why put him on the bench?

If we don't do so well this season i.e finish 5th-8th or something with no silverware, then there's going to be a lot of disgruntled fans and likely and a lot of finger pointing. I only hope Levy doesn't get trigger happy and sacks Poch after such a season cause we know that's something else he's more than capable of.

Because we don't have any better options I guess. That's the state of our depth.

It wasn't as much a glaring omission yesterday as it was in the Chelsea game because at least we had scored just after the 2nd half and weren't chasing anything.

Sandy, I agree Pochettino decisions are sometimes baffling but I think we can give him the benefit of doubt considering what brilliant work he has achieved with this club so far. No trophies so far I know and that is really frustrating for me as a supporter but he has worked wonders. It's not his fault he has a chairman that just doesn't back him. Having 2 teenage rookies on our bench yesterday is proof of that. Our squad is awful and our chairman refuses to do anything about it.

If he's not sold on Janssen then fine, but was that only in training after all the pre-season games? This penny-pinching thought process that mass reductions take place in late-August is a myth, if it were true then surely everyone would be at it? As it happens, anyone we sign will either be off on international duty for the next 10 days or will have about 7 teammates to train with while the others are off playing for their countries at various age groups and therefore won't get any proper training done until the 2nd week in September.

Another thing that really irks me about levy's approach with buying players with 2 days to go is this Aurier potential signing. The position we desperately need and we are waiting on a decision that will allow him into the U.K. Before we sign him. Why the hell dodntbwe get this sorted month ago if we were targeting him? Say it all go t** up and he's refused entry, who the hell are we going to sign on deadline day ? Its just ridiculous

He didn't look sold on Janssen as far back as the end of last season, when you'd expect him to get more game time and was instead used as a token sub with a few minutes to go. Can't imagine he'll be that high on confidence should he eventually play a part this season.

Probably pointless trying to second guess what's going on though. All I know is we need more squad quality and we've left it late again to do something about it.
