I'm with 3
Get Unlimited Data
200 mins
12 GB tethering
£18 a month
My son the same only he gets 30GB tethering for £6 a month more
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why would anyone ever need a 30gb tethering allowance? What is he doing?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking at tattybojangles
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because I refuse to be tied in with sky/virgin so don't have broadband at home
My son gets all his Xbox needs and I get to stream all the matches I want using our tethering
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I also refuse to pay for sky or virgin. Absolutely insane prices for barely anything. I have talk talk broadband which is fairly cheap but no way am I giving Murdoch £80 a month for sky and bt sports.
The lack of signal in OT
I get 30GB data (plus 30 personal hotspot)
Unlimited texts/minutes etc
£19 a month
Kept my iPhone 6S after the 2 year contract ran out as it's still in mint condition so just got a sim only deal and that's the offer they had on at the time.
Use around 20GB data probably on average a month.
Good thing on 3 is that they have the 'feel at home' thing for almost every country you could think of visiting, so your internet use and texts/calls just come right out your normal package when abroad with no roaming or facking about.
You guys have sold it to me, I'm gonna get my phone unlocked and join 3 then. The only issue is I need my number to stay the same.
No idea how people use 30GB of data a month

agreed, especially with there being about a million free hotspots around the country.
The thing I'll miss with EE is the wifi on the underground though, ah well I rarely use public transport now.
I think the reason signal is so bad at OT is because literally thousands and thousands of people are connecting to the same mast at once. 4 networks and 75k people.
Funnily enough I called up 3 yesterday as my Sim only contract is about to expire (got an iPhone 6s). I am on 4GB, unlimited texts and minutes for £9/month but I did get £50 cash back on the deal through my old companys reward scheme so over the year the deal cost me under £5/month which is a bargain. I am struggling to find a sim-only deal that matches this at this price tbh.
The guy at 3 offered me £9/month for 8GB and unlimited mins and texts yesterday which I thought was decent. But he said my average usage is 2GB so gave me the same deal for £5/month on 2GB. This is on a rolling contract as well so I can cancel whenever. All I use internet for is maps and spotify in the car driving to work so not an avid user. Signal isn't the strongest for 3 but it's been very reliable. They have improved massively.
Been with O2 for a number of years now.
Find with most deals you are paying maybe 1 or 2 pound extra but it's the best provider imo, I get service everywhere, I'd recommend it.
Treating myself to the Iphone X, being launched today.. and will be staying with O2 again I imagine.
EE by far
I took out a 24 month contract and get Bt sport free for the entire timespan
Always have great coverage and never any issues

What phone have you got now? What makes you want the X?
I'm on a rolling monthly contract now with a 6S
I have a 6s as well mate
Contract just ended.... Like the look of the leaks on the X, the full OLED screen, faster processor etc.
May have to wait a few weeks to get hands on one though.
Arab,
I was privy to a talk/presentation a couple of weeks back by someone who specialises in cost and purchase management for small businesses. Doesn't sound exciting right?
But... One thing that emerged was how everyone mindlessly goes for mobile deals/packages and ends up ripping themselves off. You can, apparently (I didn't know this!), hand pick the individual parts of your package. So rather than pay a huge sum per month for package that you'll only partly benefit from, get the individual bits tailored to your actual usage/needs (minutes, texts, data etc...).
It's useful of course to know what you actually need and use, but my advice would be to spend some time working out your numbers and then go in store and get a custom package. Don't go for an 'off the shelf' deal.
Like most I just picked from the available packages when making my selection. Next time I'll much more savvy.

that makes sense tbf, but going into these shops is a hassle because they cling on to you whenever you say no. At least on the phone you can hang up to them. I don't really know the specifics of how much phone data I use as well.
EE is the best provider by far in my area. I'm on a rolling contract. Paying £8 per month, but that deal doesn't seem to be available any more.
From my experience, stay clear of Vodafone. Horrendous company, and the reception seems to have got worse where I live too.
I used Giffgaff a few years ago, they were good and cheaper than everyone else but not sure what they're like nowadays.

My OCD would not allow the cut out in the top. Also everything plays around it so part of your video or game is cut off because of that stupid cut out, ridiculous.
Who on earth is paying a grand for a 64gb phone?

People who use iCloud
Yeah to be fair the memory wouldn't bother me, my current 6S is only 64 gb but have another 50gb iCloud which is plenty, don't store that much on my phone in terms of music it's all streamed unless I'm going away.
I'm on a rolling monthly as my 2 year contract was up and my phones in good nick, so when I'm ready for a new handset I'll see what the contracts are with it, or if I'm better off selling this and buying one and keeping the cheap contract.
But yeah, the cut out for all the front facing camera, they never showed a movie playing or anything, will the screen have a black bar either side so it's still flat, or will there be a weird shape missing out of the movie you're watching?
Anyone have much experience with the high end Huawei phones?
My Samsung has been acting like a caant since updating to the latest version of Android so I'm tempted to look elsewhere within the Android market but need something seriously powerful (not interested in Iphones).
Sorry Scruttocks I've never used one, a guy in my office has one and he really rates it. Think he used to have a Sony though before that not a Samsung.
