Luckily we don't have Arsenal to embarrass the s#it out of us this year!
Its easy to get carried away with a few good wins, but like the PL it doesnt really get going until the new year.
I think the PL teams can beat most of the others but its getting past the elite few over 2 legs that will be the test.
Ledley - I think the quality of coaching is the big improvement and that'll move English clubs back to the top of European football.
Even with the money, I don't think the quality of player has necessarily improved, but with Guardiola, Conte, Mourinho, Poch and Klopp (to a lesser extent) the level of coaching at the top clubs is as good as you'll find anywhere in Europe at the moment - arguably better. At the top level I think the coaching makes an enormous difference and you might see English clubs challenging at the latter stages again this year to break up the monotony of seeing the same teams in the semi-finals year after year.

Liverpool: "hold my beer"
soccer?lol.
Utd, City and Chelsea will all top the groups you'd think now.
Liverpool probably have to win in Seville to stand any chance of finishing first but they will come 2nd at worst. They will beat Maribor home and away and easily dispose of Spartak at home. That will ensure they get 2nd.
Just can't see Spurs getting much from either Madrid game and Dortmund away will be tough for them but they have every chance of getting through in second as long as they beat APOEL at home and don't mess up by a big score in Germany.
Celtic (not English granted) will go into the Ropey Cup and might even do fairly well in it.
City the first KO round after conceding 6 v Monaco,

City scored 6 against Monaco and were unlucky to go out on away goals.

Nope. Monaco could have about 3 or 4 goals easily over the two ties as could City.
It's not bad luck when you can't defend. You've performed major surgery on the defence since though so you might fare better this time around.
Ballocks. The only impressive result was Chelsea. All other games prem billionaires were expected to win.
Nothing's changed.
It certainly looks that way. Each of those sides looks better than they did last season apart from Liverpool, who in my opinion will still qualify.
I fancy all 5 to qualify.
City, United and Chelsea in 1st
Liverpool and Spurs in 2nd, although Liverpool with more chance of nicking 1st than Spurs.
The big sides will be taking notice now especially of Chelsea after bossing Atletico in Madrid.
I would prefer Liverpool to finish 2nd. We play well against good teams but collapse against poor teams. Bring on PSG in the next round. Lovren will sort out that Neymar chap

Yes.
It was the 6 goals you conceded that put you out, 3 in each game.
It is not a dig, it was a pretty flaky exit.

I think bossing it is a little bit OTT judging by the highlights. They looked good first half and missed a few sitters. Saul especially.
Great win all the same though.
The phasing out of English managers and players is exactly what English football required in order to compete with Europe’s best. Actual English football is now the Championship, which is about the expected standard for British football these days, along with the Scottish Premiership.

First XIs may not have improved, but I think squads overall have. Ours certainly looks stronger and more balanced compared to other years.
I like the flirtation with back threes and attacking 4141s. I feel the 4231 was not suited to Enlgish sides in Europe, too stale and not executed as well as the Continentals

The best managers in football are in England currently.
Each of those sides looks like a better version of them last season (except Liverpool, who have an uncanny knack of pulling out an exceptional performance when required.)
Every one of the English sides will be dangerous.
Then you look at the usual CL competitors.
Barcelona - Have lost Neymar, players are older, they don't look at the same level above they once did.
Real Madrid - Still the ones to beat but concerning signs for them domestically this season already.
Bayern - Pensioners with a manager in charge the club can't wait to be rid of.
Atletico - Beaten by Chelsea and the margin should have been bigger.
PSG -
Juventus - Beatable.
For the CL I would have them in this order of likelihood of winning it.
1. PSG.
2. Real Madrid.
3. Chelsea
4. Barcelona
5. Manchester United
6. Juventus
7. Manchester City
8. Atletico Madrid
9. Liverpool
10. Napoli
11. Bayern Munich
12. Tottenham

A lucky win is not 'bossing it' a draw was the correct result, not a lucky last minute win. Aside Spurs who were completely dominated and outplayed by Dortmund at home, but managed to sneak a couple of goals against the run of play, no decent teams have been played, so this is very premature.
I still have the likes of Barca and Madrid ahead, probably Bayern, Juve and PSG now too. Although over 2 legs I think some of the English teams could beat anybody, bar maybe the two Spanish at their peak.
I think United & Chelsea stand the best chance. Chelsea are mentally tough, well balanced & well coached, probably the only one of the five savvy enough to have got the fantastic result they did last night. United, with their big squad, experience have a great chance & Jose knows what he's doing. I could see City winning it or going out in a blaze of glory in a high scoring thriller because pep wont change his ways to win a game ugly. Liverpool are simply not good enough defensively to handle Europe's best. I think Spurs will get out of the Group and at the old lane would be a real handful but I can see one of Europe's best bringing their A game to Wembley & beating us in the last 16. With all that said PSG look scary good & i think they will win it
