He’s in his second season. Building a great squad and you had a lot of injuries in central midfield.

Good result.

The only coward was Klopp for not actually going for the win by taking one of his three midfielders off for an attacker.

It's just something for them to moan about and cling on to, in some sort of insane reasoning that they may still challenge. At least Arsenal fans accept by kick-off in their first game that they're out the league race.

We've scored more, conceded the least and because Mourinho decided to implement a game plan and achieved it, we're meant to be upset.

We're not going to go on to win the league, but we will challenge. You have to show all types of tactics and not the usual, "Let's just try to score more than them."

They keep harping about our easier start, but last time I checked the current Champions lost to a team that hadn't scored in 7 games. There are no easy games.

Tbf they have every right to complain. They came up against a team who had no intention to score and created chance after chance. No, wait, they didn't. They were just as predictable and one dimensional as anticipated. Run, run, run

They took off their best two attacking players so also settled for a draw.

They are the reincarnation of LVGs UTD

When teams sat back against Louis he had no plan b

Neither does klopp.

To be fair we all chastised the negative teams too.

Hurts when you can't find a way through against teams who sit back.

I think klopp has been found out personally. Sit back and you're guaranteed you won't lose, create a couple of chances and you'll probably nick the game

Anyone notice nothing was made of Conte parking the bus at home a couple of weeks ago?

Jose does it in an away game and there's uproar.

De gea's hand must be stinging today after all those saves he was forced to make yesterday

I have no issue with the result or the performance yesterday. It's easy to slip out of the top section of the table and fall into the wilderness. Ask Liverpool and Milan.

We aren't as far along as City and they look a real force. If we come second to them, I won't complain. I said before the season started, that I would be happy with a comfortable top 3 finish and I still would be. I am content with a decent CL run, finishing top 3 and building on that.

We had a really poor 4 years, I'm not expecting to just fast forward to a league win. We're going the right way though, Jose may be signing a new deal, we have a young core and a great foundation. In 2/3 years, we will be a real force. Liverpool will likely be on to a different manager and still battling for top 4. Thst isn't a dig, we are in a better position, financially and will continue to build.

We've had a great start and not losing was important. Especially against a dangerous, attacking team, away from home. Had we won yesterday, wouldn't it have been our best start in 34 years? I think that's what was said. Let's not act like a draw suddenly changes that.

A second place finish and a solid showing in the championship league is nothing to sniff at. Wekl be even stronger next year.

Yes and I'd imagine even though we drew we equalled our best start in that period. We're in our strongest position since SAF left.

We are. We have been good to watch, for the most part and we don't concede easily. We're moving in the right direction.

We also played poorly.

Jose has improved us and made the team as he likes it but we're still a long way from the top. City look much closer this season.

Still, it's a long season. No one is really out of the race yet.

Exactly. Whatever we do opposition fans are going to speak badly of us regardless. When we were winning under SAF they said we'd the refs in our pocket.

United will never get credit from opposition fans whether it's good or bad.

Since City have become rich they've become everyone else's 2nd team I've noticed.

posted on 16/10/17

I would say Liverpool and Arsenal are out of it now even though it's October.

Neither team looks like they have sorted out their issues for dropping points.

United look like they've sorted out their issue with the other 14 teams based on 6 wins and a draw against half of them

City look like they're ominous and a much better unit but they did this last year and then it got cold and their flair players went into hibernation.

Chelsea look a bit stop start but they did this last year and came good

Spurs despite patchy home form are still there or thereabouts

I think it's between City Utd Chelsea and Spurs. It's cities if they can handle Xmas but who knows.

Find it amusing all the Utd fans in denial or simply can't accept the fact Utd who are in form and supposedly going for the title and with a squad and starting 11 that cost over DOUBLE that of Liverpools went to a struggling Liverpool and set up and produced that performance was and is embarrassing. We didn't play well either but controlled the game so easily but yet again fail to put the ball in the net, atleast we weren't tested thanks to the the portuguese Pulis.

As for this idiot OP crying about Liverpool fans camped on their board needs to ask himself why or look over posts weeks prior during the internation break etc and see all the Utd fans saying they can't wait to go to Anfield and batter Liverpool etc. once again they bang on about Liverpool then when they get found out they cant take it.

All give no take, sit there giving it out for a fortnight prior then ask why they get given it back couldn't make it up

Wasn't through the lack of trying though unlike Utd, Salah had 2/3 chances Wijnaldum and Can had opportunities also we should have had a penalty for the foul on Cout. Utd had a long ranger from Matic early on and the Lukaku chance after the Lukaku chance did you even have a shot?

posted on 16/10/17

De gea had on save of note to make, the rest trickled towards him, as for a penalty, never, same as the brutal assault by Lukaku on Lovren what Klopp seemed to think was a red card

posted on 16/10/17

Liverpool always raise their game against us. Even under SAF we've lost some games even when we were the inform team and Liverpool weren't. Quite a few United fans on this board even said they'd take a draw before a ball was kicked. I thought we'd nick a 1-0 as I expected we'd counter better than we did.

We're still in the title race as we addressed the issue of drawing with the teams that camp out in their half. We're also not relying on one player.

Neither Liverpool nor Arsenal addressed their issues. City have. Chelsea have only slightly improved from last season. Still they have Hazard who just returned to the side. I don't think Tottenham will win the title but I do think they're closer to it than Liverpool or Arsenal.

posted on 16/10/17

Guys the game has finished. Move on.
We will be up there challenging for the title. Liverpool will be challenging for our 6th spot along with Arsenal and Watford.

And to think Jose is also nicknamed the second season master, based on his achievements at Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real in the passed.

After the second season he brings turmoil and poisons the atmosphere at the clubs he has worked for before is finally sent out the door with a nice pay out. But at least our Manc friends have many a game of destroying small teams and going for master class 0-0's against serious opponents to look forward to the rest of the season, after which we can all watch City lift the trophy - deservedly. Happy days.
