It's amazing how much is being talked about in a game where the highlight reel could have lasted two minutes.
It can be spun any way people want it to be. Ultimately, Mourinho got what he came for in terms of at least getting a point and Klopp will at least be happy with the fact he didn't really allow any counter attacking threat to materialise against a team that had been scoring for fun up to that point.
Liverpool are only a couple of points off the top four and United have got a tricky game out of the way. That's it, there's hardly anything else interesting about it to discuss.

I say we had 3 clear chances.
The save with De Gea's foot...the Salah follow up and Can's dreadful miss.
Utd had one with Lukaku...which was a bad miss as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not to be a picky , but you can't really count a shot and the follow up shot in the total tally of chances, it's one chance at goal really, there is no way you could have scored both
Parking the bus is the United way now.
7 defenders v Soton. Blind and Smalling on for Rash and Miki.
v S'oton FFS

I thought it was fairly decent game and showed the pro and cons of two very contrasting styles.
Tactically is was a nice watch.
...................
This is actually an interesting comment. We all knew what Jose was going to do from a tactical view point.
Klipperty was pretty much of the same mind in the last twenty minutes and decided he would take the point.

With all due respect a Chelsea fan can hardly take the pi$$ when you played with no strikers for most of your game against city at home and sat back for the whole match
It wasn't a 'good' point, it was a point.
As the Guardian said this morning, and mamy others yesterday, we have been playing well, they haven't, we should have been a bit more adventurous and tried to win.
But onwards and upwards

In fact it makes you look as if you have no clue about what you are talking about.
Talking of bus parking, maybe you should have done that against Palace. No one else has let them score this season.

Did you watch the game? If you did, you'd know So'ton were very good going forward that day.
They controlled the midfield, kept the ball brilliantly, passed it with intent and accurately, had excellent movement off the ball, and worked their bollox off. Credit to them, they were very good in our half.
Actually the best side we've faced this season going forward.

To be fair Chelsea and Contes style really suffered with the loss of Kante as they had to make do with just the back 5 and only 1 DM rather than the usual 2.
This was evident as the leagues worst form side in history was able to move through their midfield with ease and attack them, scoring their first 2 goals of the season.

He did indeed.
Each sub he made was like-for-like in terms of the areas of the pitch in which the players operate. He wouldn't give up their extra man in central midfield and didn't gamble with any significant tactical changes to try to win the game.

One Kante team
I think the big difference between the fans is, UTD fans seem fine to admit that we were terrible to watch... Yet Liverpool fans completly fail to admit the truth, hence you get comments about parking the bus, 11 men behind the ball etc.
We were terrible, they were average. Bring on Wednesday so we can forget it.

Stoke manged two at home against us, just to put it into perspective, this season.

Most Liverpool fans I am listening to and reading comments from were unhappy we did not win and that was down to not taking chances.
One thing have learnt from this game is that without Fellaine, there is no outlet when the team isn't attacking in full force.
Lukaku/Martial always lose the first ball making it easy for Liverpool to have possession easily and the passing was way poor on Saturday.
if those long balls were aim at Fellaine, United would have stand a good change in playing well.
The team didn't actually defended in numbers as I expected though, even the commentator said they expect Coutinho to be man marked which Jose never did

Yep, it's the classic myth, even some of our own fans failed to notice.
Our wide men were a bit deeper than normal, sure... But a bit better passing and composure through the middle would have easily seen them get forward and help Lukaku... Our midfield players were the real issue... Matic tried his best, but Herrera and Mkhi were so poor.

I think its more the frustration of saying all season despite our start were not actually that good but yet they didn't really trouble us, we went for the draw and got it, did I like the way we played? absolutely not but it is what it is a good point at anfield, the money comparison is ludicrous as well as if their some penny pinching non spenders.....

Well said? The criticism that you have done well having an easy fixture list still rings true. Parking the bus for a point in a game you were dominated in hardly dismisses that point.
I don't think there is a lot of frustration in the minda of Liverpool fans. Of course we should have won tje game but it wasnt through a lack of trying. On the otherhand United fans are greatly frustrated as you parked the bus and didn't try to win.
