Where Quinny is, you still get out and about when the rain is horizontal.
Gonnae I used to have a livery yard on the North Sea at Lunan Bay in angus, every night rain sleet or snow or gale force winds I had to do my rounds and there was always wan of the wee Luvvi s with Colic or some major case of something, waiting 3 hours for a Vet to come.
That's more like it. People these days have become right pu$$ies.

You need to check out which pubs will be showing the game tomorrow.
Politician - probably
Pollachar - maybe.
Borrodale - again, not sure unless they tap into someone's Sky Go
Lochboisdale - definitely. It's more your Glesga howff though. Kinda reminds me of The Dolphin at Partick Cross back in the 70s. Great craic though.

Just read your post again. Whaddaya mean "what passes for civilisation". That's my earthmother yer talking about.
Basturt.
BTW. You're about 15 miles from Ali's old gaff at the Tobha Beag turn on the spine road.
Well read it for a 3rd time
The slight refers to the mainland.
I'm actually back in Mallaig had to do stuff came over on the 7am.
Having a pint in the Marine bar waiting on the 5pm return.
Prob why I can get an internet signal.
BTW I'm only a few mins walk from the Pollacher.
On a sunny day, that is one of the most stunning views you'll find to enjoy a pint. Sunny days are a rarity though.
Crossing The Minch after Ophelia - I'm guessing the fish have been well fed.
It's been far too long show.
Best part of 20 since I was here it was during the 87 heatwave.
I'd moved south by then and don't remember that one. Mind you, what qualifies for a heatwave in Uist means you can just about take your coat off, but the Aran jumper stays on.
In 76 it pashed down every day while the rest of the country was having a drought. Feck, we even had tourists coming from the south of England to see what rain looked like.
Well finished my pint gotta buy stuff from the Co-op before the 5.
Let you how I get on when I'm back show.
