You're late Nev, thought it wasn't coming!
Still, well done Claudio, what odds on him getting sacked next season though when his second season syndrome kicks in?
Did Allbrighton not make Mahrez look good though with one of his trademark passes?
There a video on Twitter showing him putting a swan on the ground and a series of first touches and passes that where Messi like. But now Albrighton is allowed past the half way line he's more effective but not in the same league as the best ball player in the clubs history.
He's a RAT though isn't he who made a fool of himself on transfer deadline day, no one wanted him!
Nev you must get sick of True Blue constantly following you around the board like some kind of obsessed weirdo.
It's like the time he was caught with his face pressed up against Vardys kitchen window when they threw the title party. The guys obsessed with you
It's a worry, involved in both goals - what is going to happen when he leaves in January?
I suspect that next weekend at the KP we'll see more WBA than Swansea from Everton, so we could easily revert to dropping points. That's the problem with the less than wonderful start to the season, one decent performance doesn't get us away from trouble, we need a sustained run of good results.
If Rudkin isn't responsible for recruitment, what exactly does he get paid to do? Interesting that there is now open dissent against him directly.
Mahrez for all the stick he gets is really the only creative outlet in the whole team. Unless a top class replacement is sought we will sink like a stone in January because we won't be able to create chances
When Mahrez isn't firing we literally create next to nothing from open play. Silva should help the situation but we need to plan for Mahrezs departure. And by planning I don't mean eyeing up Andros Townsend to replace him
It was great to see Mahrez back on it at the weekend, looking to play telling through balls and passes rather than just stepping inside selfishly and looking to shoot. He looks so much more dangerous when he works as a team player this way. One of the best passes he played was to put Vardy through in the second half - the one that he wasn't passing to at all for most of last season - and another day with a bit of luck getting the ball out of his stride, Vardy would have scored it.
Mahrez was defending more as well, not always in his right midfield starting position, but there was more of an understanding across the midfield 4 that they take up roles of a line of 4, to cover each other when out of position. e.g. Mahrez is out of position centrally as an attack breaks down, Ndidi goes across to cover, but Mahrez comes back and covers the space that Ndidi's vacated until they can cross again. He hasn't been doing that recently so it was excellent to see. It helps to keep things tight so that his attacking play has more value when it comes.
More of the same please, Riyad.
We will talk about him for as long as we have done Weller and Worthington a privlege just to watch him control a ball let alone anything else
BS it's my Cross to bear i think the liar and coward thing oversteps the mark but no one else on here seems to mind. I guess i replace JG as the fall guy on here.
Nev, I don't think you're a liar or a coward. But I've seen you so often on the wind up, devil's advocate or general contrarian over recent years that I find it difficult to know which of your views I'm supposed to take seriously. I can see why TB calls you out when you lay into and accuse people with little to no demonstrable evidence.
Dung true but this is not the place for reliable evidence you me we all have confidences and thing people tell us and we can't publish their actual words or give there names.
We are never going to be right unless Arro comes back.
The one thing i can't get my head round is Rudkin he's never going to get the praise for anything that goes right he did over see the winning of the premier league.
If he did get the Silva transfer wrong then he probably cost Shakey his job or maybe not. The chances are pretty slim. But if we sign a new manager and then Rudkin goes we will have an answer.
As for Nigel i hope he has had the support he needed to get past some issues he had and the owners to their credit have given him a great opportunity to make a name for himself again out of the glare of the British media. There is no doubting his role in pulling this club up by it boot straps. He also did what every father would do stood by his son right or wrong and paid the price for it.
I don't like seeing squabbles so tend to steer clear.
It's best just to stick to the football, try not to take things too seriously and steer clear of personality clashes. One of the big downsides with what are necessarily short bits of text is that it's really easy to get misunderstandings, something that's far less likely to happen if you are chatting with someone.
This is what bothers me about the Rudkin protests - As you say, he's in a very difficult position to get any praise. Do well and people will immediately point to players and manager; do poorly and he's part of the problem.
I've said before that I thought he was on for praise at the end of the summer transfer window, as long as the Silva transfer went through. But it didn't, and it one swoop he blew and the good will he had built up. Then to be (allegedly) behind the firing of a popular manager that he (allegedly) wasn't sure about in the first place in a situation where his supporters lay the primary blame for our position at Rudkin's door (the Silva saga) and I can see how people have turned against him.
But it is difficult to know for certain what's happening there. There is an awful lot of anecdotal evidence that I've heard that he is unpopular or disliked, from all manner of people. But it remains anecdotal by nature. A lot of people, including those who have met him, don't like him for various reasons. That doesn't make him a bad DoF by definition as sometimes you need a bit of a w*nker in that sort of role, but it has to be a competent one who's on your side. His actions of late are suggestive that that may not be the case and I'm sure that's the source of the protests.
But very difficult to know for sure what's going on behind the scenes and to know what, if anything, the real problems are.
Sorry, that was something of a typo-ridden ramble there.
In terms of the whole coward/liar thing - and yes this may sound massively hypocritical coming from me - but that is pretty unnecessary
I don't agree with what nev says about the players and yep he keeps banging that drum - but a coward? Really??? A liar??
I think that's different from some of the more general insults that get thrown around when people get annoyed with each other - it just feels much more personal and yes you may think Nev is wrong, but he's entitled to be wrong!
And let me just add - if I had said either of those things I'd be chastised by many of you on here as abusive!
Nev might be only on the wind up but I’d call Anyone out who wants to repeatedly insinuate as fact a Professional person in the Limelight is an Alcoholic without A any proof B having the courage to actually say it and back it up publicly, that’s cowardly!
Didn’t Nev also claim Martin Allen was a smack Head?
We’ve been ghrough the lies but many times, I’m not saying Nev is lying about Pearson but he’s also not offering an opinion either!
So while he acts cowardly and tells lies, I’ll keep calling him out.
Just like he mentioned JG, another proven Liar!
You are lying when have i called Martin Allen a smack head he had well documented issues but not smack.
check your facts.
When have i actually called anyone an Alcoholic. Your the only one using that word.

I wasn’t lying at all about Martin Allen, that’s why I asked it as a question but you did mention him and drugs didn’t you, I can remember being shocked st the time.
Re Pearson - You’re stating Pearson has a drink problem and has had help for it, it’s not your opinion as you’ve now stated it at 3 times as s fact, if he has a drink problem, he’s an Alcoholic except you’re too much of s coward to say what you mean.
That's way too personal TB, that goes beyond banter or off the cuff insults. The board went apeshiiit the other day when i said Miami should go back to not606 with the other thickos (it was off the cuff annoyance) yet no problem at all with this level of accusation and repeated personal attacks on someones character
What a weird place JA606 is.....it seems as long as you are polite when insulting someone it's absolutely fair game
No one doubts Mahrez's ability.... the issue in the last year has been his consistency.
He needs to produce in more than the odd game.
If he can do that through to Jan, then we will be top half.
Now......when he goes in Jan,,,, that is when it will become an issue unless we line up a replacement for the second half of the season, going to be interesting.
Mahrez is one of the most gifted players ever to play for our club.
Doesn’t make him immune to criticism when he doesn’t turn up.
He’s not been good enough for far too long now. He’s had one good game where Swansea allowed him space and time.
He needs to find the consistency he showed in our title winning season to be worthy of praise again. Otherwise it may benefit him and us for him to leave. He goes to play in a team where other players will create him space, and we bring in a player offering more balance and defensive capability.
Doesn’t mean he’s not gifted or suddenly a bad player. Just out of form and not helping the team.
And if you want a good example of why a team is more important than the individual, just look at okazaki compared to the more talented Slimani and Ian.
Sometimes it’s not about the individual.
As long as he is with Leicester i'd have Mahrez in the team every time. At the minute he's one of the players who might create something different. Of course he is not at the level he was two years ago, when he won the pfa player of the year ( or was it football writers player of the year) Now the only award some 'fans' would give him is pantomime villian of the year. he,d have to win another award like poty before some fans would forgive him for asking for a transfer
See Nev I do agree with you sometimes
