We really should be showing interest in Sanchez, would be criminal to let him go to City without any competition for his signature.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolutely
Better him than ozil
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I cant see Sanchez anywhere other than City.
I think many clubs have tried such as us,Chelsea,Juve maybe even Barca but I think he's set his mind on going to City.
The squad needs some additions but the manager is the biggest problem.
We need wingers, full backs, cm's and an attacking coach.
We need wingers, full backs, cm's and an attacking coach.
-------------------------------------------
That's pretty much what my Christmas list looks like.
Pogba does something which a lot of your other players lack, and that is speeding up play. Defenses look like they have an extra second or two to readjust in his absence as the midfield is more pedestrian when he is out.
Mata is such a liability, I know he scores and assists well but is so disappointing. Not anything near the player he was at Chelsea.
Pogba also has a habit of slowing down our play as well. But even when he does this he still links the play between midfield and attack better than anyone we have.
Especially when driving forward with the ball and putting teams on the back foot. None of our other midfielders carry the ball like him.
So annoying he got injured, was playing well this season. Even in bad form we still look a better team with him in there.
As has been seen this season and the end of last.
If we had full backs who could get forward consistently and provide good quality then, with the players we have, the diamond would probably be the best option as it would allow us to get two strikers on the pitch, allow us to play Mata/Mkhi central and make sure our midfield would not be outnumbered. It could easily change into a 3-5-2 if needed as well with Matic dropping back.
Unfortunately we don't have that. Our threat out wide, be it from the forwards or full backs, really isn't good enough for a top team.

Valencia is OK but our threat from the left is pretty poor. Young does OK there but always seems to cut back onto his right foot which makes it more difficult for the striker to get space as he may have already made his move.
If we can't get a really good winger in though then perhaps getting full backs who are good on the ball and who can cross would be an easier solution for now.
I'm realising just how powerful Pogba's personality is on the field, and we're burning out Matic as a result of Paul being out. Hopefully Herrera gets his head screwed back on and delivers some commanding performances or else City will pull away with the league by Christmas. Last season I wagered City would go undefeated, and for awhile it looked like money in the bank. I think I may have wagered on the wrong season.

Let's hope so.
I can't believe that there isn't anyone out there who wouldn't improve us. As much as I hate to say it we really missed a trick in not signing Mane. He'd be a great outlet for us. Surely there must be a raw diamond out there somewhere who could offer similar?
Yeah it's looking like a big mistake to have not signed Mane. He's brilliant.

The Wayne Rooney floated ball to Valencia.
People thought he could play in midfield because one in six of them would come off.
I hated it for England, would pull it off but would literally change nothing. If anything it makes it easier for the opposition team to defend.
Lucky for you, I hated watching it every week and for England.
And I agree completely, it didn't usually lead to much as they were so slow to get to the man that the opposition had time to set themselves.
When Paul Scholes and Beckham did it they played it with far more pace (and accuracy obviously) so it was a great weapon when switching play.
Tommy Huddlestone used to hit a lovely pinged pass to Lennon. Rarely much higher than head height. It is a great skill to have
Indeed, but we are talking about Rooney's useless ones.
