Crime rates had been drastically reducing since 1995 but this progress has drastically reducing in the last 10 years. Almost flat lining since 2015.
The judiciary has also developed a backlog worse than a 3rd world country in the last 10 years due to cuts to their budgets. Get victimised today and you'll get a hearing date for next March

No. I realise you are continually trying to twist this but again I’ll make it very clear as to what I am saying.
Some police officers are racist. There is a well held opinion that the Met is institutionally racist.
Racist officers will likely use powers they are given and target people in a racist manner.
One of those powers is stop and search.
The powers themselves are not racist. They are not designed to target and specific part of society other than criminals.
Stop and search being one of those powers is not racist.
Stop and search can be used in a racially targeted manner by racist officers.

Crime rates had been drastically reducing since 1995 but this progress has drastically reducing in the last 10 years. Almost flat lining since 2015.
The judiciary has also developed a backlog worse than a 3rd world country in the last 10 years due to cuts to their budgets. Get victimised today and you'll get a hearing date for next March

I made it abundantly clear that I was talking about the tactic. Stop and search in itself is not racist. How can it be unless the person utilising the power that comes with it is themselves racist?
There are police officers who are racist. Nobody would really suggest otherwise. They may through their own racism use the power to target those they are racist against. That makes them racist. Not the act.

No. I realise you are continually trying to twist this but again I’ll make it very clear as to what I am saying.
Some police officers are racist. There is a well held opinion that the Met is institutionally racist.
Racist officers will likely use powers they are given and target people in a racist manner.
One of those powers is stop and search.
The powers themselves are not racist. They are not designed to target and specific part of society other than criminals.
Stop and search being one of those powers is not racist.

If black people are 4% of population how do you justify stop and search of 6 black people out of every 7 searches?
If you reveresed that and searched white dudes in 6 out of 7 searches, there would be a statistical sudden great spike in knife crime among white dudes which we could then use to justify more stop and search of white dudes.
It's not rocket sconce.
Furthermore, some police are racist and we know that even those who aren't are susceptible to subconscious bias and first impressions as human beings. Policing tactics should avoid such scenarios as much as possible because we know bias is mostly unintentional, unwilling and perpetrators unaware and ultimately in denial of it.
