Those yougov poll figures released yesterday are brutal, suggests that the Cons have opened up a 25 point lead among working class voters. Only a 4 point lead among middle class voters on the other hand.

Few caveats though:
a) likely that there is a bit of a 'vaccine bounce' which will fade away
b) the working class are far more undecided about who they're going to end up voting for than middle class
c) sample size is only 1700 odd - thought they ran these polls on a much larger scale

Labour abandoned the working class to focus on upper class vanity projects like FBPE. Shameful and shocking it's not talked about more.

I was watching a Blair interview from a few years back and one interesting point he made was elections are increasingly decided by the middle class rather than working class vote, owing to changing demographics. In that sense, even if Labour won back the working classes that still might not be enough (and in fact that was partly what informed Blair's own new Labour strategy).

Nothing about the medical consequences of puberty blockers, which are largely irreversible and stunt bone development. Nothing about the consequences of determining gender as a social construct. Nothing about the desecration of single sxx female spaces. Just all woke jargon over something so complicated. The American Left is obsessed with this but if you push back, of course it is us starting the culture war.

I enjoyed the polls showing more people were concerned by post George Floyd riots than Capitol Hill violence and how upset the media got in response.

I do think if Trump was 20 percent less tw@ttish or if there had been no pandemic, he would have won. That is how crap the Democrats are.
