Bit too early really to pick favourites
And its more down to courting specific sections of the party and cutting deals then how you fare in party polls
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You'd think conservative strategists would advise whoever puts themselves forward, should be as removed from Johnson as possible. If indeed the 'reset' narrative set out in many of the recent letters to Johnson is to be believed.
Have a feeling whoever his successor is, will be plagued with constant Johnson commentary.

Gove has the immediate claim to the hard right base you'd assume. I dont see him getting much aside from that but that will put him on the ballots
In terms of who could consolidate the centre
Thats a clusterfck of options
EXCLUSIVE:
Priti Patel has sided with the group of Cabinet ministers calling for PM to go
The home secretary - one of Johnson's most loyal supporters - believes there's no way he can continue to govern without the support of his party
She's joined Shapps and Gove NOT Dorries

Apparently he's going to try to cling on til Tuesday (vote). But without a cabinet can't see that position being sustainable. He'll probably then claim the vote was rigged.
Fair play to Nadine to be fair, she’s a bumbling buffoon but in a world full of snakes and backstabbers she’s been fiercely loyal, whether that’s due to delusions of grandeur or she knows she wouldn’t get in another cabinet (she’s a bit like that bumbling Trollop who use to be corbyns assistant , Dianne Atwood?). But fair play to her anyhow I respect the loyal nature she’s always gone above and beyond

good for him
Boris Johnson sacked Michael Gove by phone:
'You can’t got briefing the press that you’re calling on the PM to go and expect them to stay in the cabinet
'It’s not the first time he’s been treacherous, appalling and disloyal. This is something he should have done years ago'

Boris needs to do something against the grain, like to visit Putin in Russia or something and get concessions
Only way he survives really
