to be fair... real Madrid are not a particularly good side at the moment. struggling in la liga and definitely not the beast of prior years.

Good article GG. Nothing like beating the current CL champions to put to bed any Wembley hoodoo talk

Shout out to Trippier too, I thought he was outstanding. On the tube home there were some Madrid fans and while my Spanish aint great they were talking about how good he was, how quick he was, and how he played much better than that cheat Marcelo...

Ok the "cheat" bit was my own words but the rest of it came from them

Ramos punched Dembele a few times in the ribs.

Don't blame him for kicking Ramos. We all wanted to.

Great evening last night Genius, atmosphere was like the old days back in the 1960s European matches. I don`t mind Wembley, obviously not like WHL, but all the same nowhere as near as bad as some of our supporters make it out to be. And the viewing is superb wherever you are in the stadium.

The atmosphere hasn't been like that for the PL games tho Sandy. It's improving but overall it's been a fairly dour experience. Last night standing for the whole match, constant chanting - felt like WHL for the first time.

The Wembley Way and concourse experience is still sheet, but who cares on nights like last night.

Chronic.................................You definitely haven't taken you happy pills this morning, have you?

By the way, it wasn't a criticism of Mousa, Ramos is such a wuss. Did you see him clutching his face as if he had been hit by Anthony Joshua

Hi Sandy,

I was slumming last night in the corporate hostility area, and very nice it was too! Then a couple of drinks and canapes after the game before a stroll back to the Hilton in time to catch the highlights of the match.

I could get used to this!

As I was stood queuing for the tube on WW last night I was looking so enviously at those in the hotel bar. One night match I'm gonna treat myself and book a hotel room if it's not too much dollar and just enjoy the night.

Genius, I had a wander around to the Hilton pre-match, thought I spotted the Real Madrid coach outside, but it was pretty mobbed, had a peek through the windows at the side of the hotel to see if I could see any of the players. Had I known you were there, I would have asked for your autograph, and got you to sneak me in.

Genius

PS I ended up in Nandos instead.

Actually Sandy, One guy failed to show, apparently broke down on the M40 on way into Wembley, so there was a spare ticket.
I bet Nando’s was busy too? There is a very good Wagamas nearby too
