How's life with you Perton? Never really got to know much about you on here. Would be interesting to hear some of your anecdotes following the club down the years.

Swansea to beat us to the signing of Andre Silva.

Can't see Mendes suggesting he goes to Swansea rather than us.

Was chatting to a Liverpool STH in a hotel last night, he still couldn't believe we had signed Neves. Wasnt that bothered though, was still buzzing after Sunday's result.

Porto are set to complete the signing of Majeed Waris on loan, which will take their number of striker options up to 4. Offers something different to the other attackers they have at the club; small & quick as opposed to the more physical trio of Aboubakar, Soares & Marega.

Which one we havin then.

Swansea have enlisted the help of “super-agent” Jorge Mendes to boost their Premier League survival mission.

Interesting that our new head of marketing is in China and has said there is lots of love for us over there with huge potential.

afobe a great example of the ridiculous position money has put English football in. a good championship striker who has still failed to show he can be a regular goal scorer in the premier league. bought for £10m and has done nothing much - 10 goals in 55 games in an attacking side like Bournemouth. hasn't scored at all in the prem this year. and Bournemouth want at least £10m for him now...

it's like Liverpool asking for £30m+ for sicknote Sturridge. fees not based on form, fitness or class, just an accountant's exercise in balancing the books.

i'm sure they will find someone to buy him. it might even be us, although i would think that is less likely than another current prem club towards the bottom end of the table. at some point though someone really needs to take action to stop this flow of money out of the game. for a fraction of the money being spent each year clubs could build stat of the art stadia, improve the local town infrastructure with transport, parking and leisure facilities, put a bit back into grass roots football and still employ the same players to play the same level of football.

Afobe £10M, defo no. £4M, err maybe but not sure.
