another example is when my mate got a new car, another mate (both black) said.. "you're car is so f 88 cking white" - he was referring to its economically good performance, rather than having huge alloy wheels... was I offended? - not at all... why would I be? - firstly he's not trying to insult me... and secondly its the most ridiculous things to say ever hahaha, and it made us all laugh
you are comparing how mates talk to mates, not how strangers talk to other strangers there is a massive difference. For example (im a rangers fan) if I called my mate a fookin smelly tim, he would come back with something similar. If I call a stranger who I dont know the same it would kick off.
If I walk up to someone who is black who i dont know and say your a disgrace to the black race (even leave out the "superior" which is actually the basis for making the statement racist) you think that would go down well?

- that's pretty light mate, only the other night my mates words to me were "you'll have to slip his right hand or you're white a ** rse will end up n**** meat
AJ was back tracking because of the way the media takes things.... are you seriously offended by that? - a way a black guy insults another black guy is by saying they are not as black as they should be... its just how it is (all be it, it sounds weird whilst I'm typing it hahaha

ask yourself this why did you have to censor out n***er ...... if its not a racist remark ?

What is actually racist about that sentence?

I sensored it out because that is 'considered' a racist word and many times when used it is..
but we're taking about a black person saying to another black person, 'you;re a disgrace to the superior black race'.... how is that racist to the recipient?, or is it that you are offended because AJ is saying the black race is superior?

nothing....the racist part is calling it "superior black race" but what would happen if I said that to a stranger?
to your other point, It shouldnt matter if its black on black were all equal
in either case thats how many black guys speak to each other, as stated its not racist... that N word was used by black guy about a black guy, but to me, a white guy...
you see, its words that are used to each other that actually don;t reference colour of the skin in the slightest...
to be fair, I have grown up in that environment so I guess its all a bit second nature for me

sorry but the "n" word is a racial slur regardless who says it : "a contemptuous term used to refer to a black person" is the meaning of the word. if its not racial then why do black people take offence to it?
I cant believe that I am actually arguing with someone that this word is not considered a racist term!?
What I do agree with is that given your upbringing that it is second nature or a desensitised word to you. But that does not take away its meaning.
"superior black race" means that you think people are better because they are black, there is no difference between this and "superior white race" both terms are completely wrong and racist pi$h. If you cannot see this then this arguement is lost on you Im afraid.
to your other point, It shouldnt matter if its black on black were all equal
-----------
agree, we are all equal, of course... but if a Polish guy called a another Polish guy "oiy, you polish pr 1 ck... is that racist? - nah, its just silly haha...
mate its just the different ways people speak... if 'that n word' is racist when a black guy says it to another black guy its just plain silly.... its because its not racist that it can be used, in a way, its used as the word 'mate'..
granted, you can;t use that word directed at a black guy if you're white (there are rules).. however, there are times when white guys, or I have used it... its never said as a racist comment at all, the last time I used it I was singing alone to a Dr Dre song, the time before that I used it about myself haha..
and just to confirm I don't speak like 'yo, homie yo, or anything, but I see the bigger picture of what racism actually is.
last time I checked "superior black race" is not a commonly used phrase?
so if we are all equal why cant a white person use that term? In fact nevermind its a stupid arguement to be had. The "N" term IS a racial slur, it was invented as one and like you said if I said it it is considered a racial slur. thinking that any race is superior over another is incorrect and a racial slur on every other race. You cannot dispute that, its 100% factually correct
also the word Gay has changed meaning somewhat.... it used to mean 'Happy', now means homosexual
society adapts and changed meanings and acceptability of words...
I concede that the N word cannot be used by a white guy to black guy, its just not appropriate - which kind of backs up your point (like I said there are rules) - but the word is not used primarily as a racist term.
I bet I hear that word 50 times during a training session, not once has it been used a racist slur...
I bet I hear it another 50 times in the car when I've got my Jay-Z CD on... not once is it used as a racist term.
thinking that any race is superior over another is incorrect and a racial slur on every other race. You cannot dispute that, its 100% factually correct
---
again, if you say it and mean it yes, completely right mate, but like I said that's how a brother talks to a brother haha...
if a black guy talks 'yo, homie yo, he is considered more black than Lenny Henry haha... thats just their banter..... nothing racist, or superior about it, its just an insult that has nothing to do with colour of skin
the fact that you say white people cannot use a word indicates it does have racial connotations tied to it. There should not be certain words that one race can use and the other cant. Dont get me wrong I am not ignorant to the situations you have brought up. But the very fact you concede certain races cannot use certain words does mean that the word carries a racial agenda sadly.
As I said this isnt to do with that term. It is to do with what AJ said and believes, and until he comes out and explains himself and his comments then we have to take them at face value. He believes that black people are better than any others.

that I agree with, but there is no (pardon the pun) black and white answer to it either.....
anyway Spanish, I gotta go (finished work) thanks for the debate. And I do take your points on board, I didnt just dismiss them, we all have different experiences in life. I stick by what I say. But cheers for keeping it respectful despite having a different opinion. (i go on a lot of boxing sites and like you have spent a few years in the gym) and believe me they "discussions" like this rarely stay civil !!

I honestly don't think he thinks that at all, again its the way they speak to each other.... there are levels of blackness which I've explained above, its not at all racist towards each other, nor to white people. however it is an insult... but has nothing to do with race, or colour.
