The lb slot is Morenos to lose. Can’t figure the Robertson signing at the moment.
We needed lb cover so that's why we bought Robertson in. Wouldn't surprise me if Milner said he didn't want to play lb and would rather fight for his place in midfield.
Happy for Moreno though the little nutter. Always backed him!
congrats on his second nipper being born
TBH.... he's still average at best.
he's had it easy this weekend as did the rest of our back line.
We've had an amazing run at home but away we are awful.
We have not seen the LCB and LB communicate well or at all and its an issue and frnakly he's one half of the probelm still.
I said this a few months ago that monreal seemed to be playing really well. Think he tore a team apart in the CL.

That’s all well and good nick but they’re talking about Moreno not Monreal
Hes been our best defender. Not saying much but still
Big game for him back at his old club tomorrow. He hgad a shocker against them in the Europa final
Really looking forward to tomorrow. Be good to secure top spot and qualification in the group and get it done. Can concentrate on some very winnable league games after Chelsea then.

Robertson is a better player, no question.
Moreno will let you down.

IMO klopp has already over played the guy and maybe didn't expect the spain call up.
he should nto have played the home game v maribor.
if he's played all over christmas its a huge amount of football.
As a Scot I was over the moon when Robertson was signed. When exactly did Jurgen decide to go again with Moreno? Before or after he signed Robertson?
Despite that, reason for signing Robertson?
Simple, in my view. Just look back at Jan-March this year. The squad was woefully understrength. I'm quite sure we will see Robertson playing, and in the immediate future too. It will be down to him then to make himself undropable for Klopp.
After Kenny, Graem, Jocky, Stevie Nicol, nostalgia, I accept, but it would be great to see fellow Jocks in the team.

I’m amazed by Moreno’s turnaround.
To be honest I think Klopp is too a little bit.
He said he told Moreno we were buying another left back, but that Milner wasn’t playing left back anymore and it was up to Moreno what happened next.
Fair play to Moreno he’s grown up a bit which I didn’t think he was capable of. He’s not playing amazingly, but he’s putting in consistently solid performances.
Now it’s whether he can take the next step and be better going forward while keeping this new found solidity.
He’s needs to add some goals and assists to his game.
Klopp said his shooting is brilliant in training but in games it’s wild. If he can change that then he can take his game to a new level and become a mainstay and another threat for the opposition to deal with.
Robertson must be very frustrated, but he can’t really have any complaints because of Moreno’s consistent performances. Hopefully Robertson will get plenty of games in the next few months, both in this busy period and from us progressing in the FA Cup.
I wouldn’t worry about the number of games Moreno is playing. He’s exceptionally fit, that’s never been a problem. He’s already played over 230 career games and is only 25 and that includes barely kicking a ball last season.
I've always been a big fan of Moreno and perhaps people thought what a fool I was when I backed him and even made the crazy claim that he would eventually be Spain's first choice left back(back in the squad recently).
My major criticism of him has always been his maturity, or lack of rather. He always seemed to be laughing and joking, even during games and was doing things you cut out much earlier in your career. I feel he had to learn from his mistakes and always said that he's young and when he cuts them out, he'll be an excellent full back. Some said, but he's twenty-three or later twenty-four but I go back to what I said before, he is, or perhaps was, very immature for his age but finally he seems to be focusing more and learning from mistakes.
No doubt firstly losing his place to a right footed midfielder for a full season and then a left back having signed was the catalyst in that. Klopp should take some credit for that, although I think Milner has had words and explained he would rather be on contention for midfield, even if it means he's fighting for a place from the bench.
Everybody can see he has all the attributes needed to be a top full back but it's his mental state which needs addressed. So far this season he's proved he is working on it.
Of course there will be those who won't admit how well he has played, or even downplay it but those are the kind of people who don't want to admit they were wrong and are waiting in the wings for a mistake, after which they will unleash the great big "I told you so!".
He's been better defensively. He had been guilty of losing concentration, reckless tackles in the dangerous areas and being out of positions but so far he's been fine. Though, he needs to improve his ball delivery and crossing.
I still think he should be rotated with Robertson like we do with TAA and Gomez at RB. Robertson has not done anything wrong.
Toor tells people off for saying I told you so in the future, while simultaneously saying I told you so now
That’s classic Toor.
It was a mental side of the game that he struggled with so glad that he's focused on what he's doing on the pitch nowadays.
Needs to do better with the ball in the final third now...and stop coming infield and forcing Mane out wide

He has got away with things a few times this season, which previously he hasn't and therefore they get highlighted. He still is positionally average and often attempts tackles that he simply doesn't need to. He has played well so far though, I still feel he's one mistake away from him taking a huge backward step.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I kind of know what you mean but I also think he’s one stunning goal away from taking a big forwards step.
He’s kind of in that limbo stage at the moment.
Playing well enough to keep people off his back and start getting people on his side, but not playing so well that you think he’s now the man and is going to be shiiiit hot from now on.
