This (and similar EU environmental laws) were my number 1 concern about Brexit. Sickening.

As human beings are animals, I suppose now you probably can.

Right now I do like the idea of smacking one with a hammer, right in the facking throat

Politicians feel no shame or remorse.

Can we hunt them instead.

Im glad they can just vote whatever they like into law.

Maybe they can vote the Easter bunny into existence too.

I once tried to ram Boris off his bike. I hunted him down and swerved my bike into his but he is that fat he didn't move an inch.

Try telling my Labrador that she doesn't feel pain when I accidentally stood on her tail the other day.

Someone at work had to go home early today after his dog was attacked by 2 stray staffies as his wife was out walking it, I bet it felt pain

Careful, you're starting to sound like a "remoaner".

This is one of the prime concerns of those speaking out against the way the government are implementing Brexit - that they can change whatever they wanton the way through. But anyone who has raised it has been shouted down, hilariously, as a "remoaner" or some kind of traitor to the state.

Basically there was a vote on whether to carry across an EU law (which recognised animal sentience) into UK law post-Brexit.

The government voted it down - animal sentience is currently not recognised in UK law, including in the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

It's a pretty pathetic and shocking vote, but those who condemn it might want to consider their anger a little more carefully next time animal products end up on their plates...

If they attempt to restart the debate on fox hunting, I think I might actually lose my facking sheet.

Every one of the cants backing that abomination of a pastime deserves quite literally to be ripped to pieces by savage dogs.

My only hope is this is the last dying breath of the kind of capitalism that will put the entire world up for sale to make a few people a little bit richer.

Their only goal here is to make your meat a little bit cheaper, a little bit more productive, a little bit more profitable.

Agree with your sentiments fully but as before with my earlier post, killing for "sport" pleasure is not in any meaningful way better or different than killing for taste pleasure.

I'm basically priming myself for having the majority of the board arguing against just me here, but hell, if it was good enough for Robb!

I'll send you some Pea Protein!

I'm genuinely still shaking with anger though, after 20 odd minutes. The idea that a few hundred people can decide to tear apart legislation that they know full well the majority of the UK will be dead against is just wrong. Just for facking profit on one of the most disgusting industries around...

I am at a loss... If I go and protest, I will end up locked up.

Killing for taste is a bit more humane in most cases though compared to running an animal to exhaustion then have dogs rip it to pieces

Humane is a nonsense word though, invented to keep the fairy tale alive.

Very little humane going on in a slaughter house.
