I watched it on Beinsports, Danny higginbotham spent the whole 1st half telling everyone how Klopp has transformed Moreno and how he cut out all the mistakes
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All the games this season before this one pointed to that. He can have ten good games and then one bad and suddenly he's a liability again. Some fans are very fickle.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So he hasn't cut out all the mistakes then?

Why have you stuck with him all these years? He's always been an accident waiting to happen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's been our best defender this season to be fair.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's like saying he's the tallest dwarf

Individual mistakes = players like lovren, moreno and mignolet are not good enough. Thats essentially it.

Over a season they make far too many individual mistakes.

Wouldn't it be more fickle to suggest he's no longer a liability because he suddenly managed ten games without being one?

I thought he’d turned his Liverpool career around

Yeah blame one player for going from 3-0 to 3-3, yeah, just one player.

Can't defend for toffee. Poor poor poor

He had before this game. It's like a striker scoring in ten matches in a row and then failing to score in the next and you say he's not scoring goals this season.

I don’t think it’s fickle to suggest that he lacks a big game mentality. This was arguably our most crucial game so far this season, and it’s no coincidence that Moreno had his worst game, and reverted back to the Moreno of the EL final, is it?

That's a stupid analogy.

More reasonable would be like saying Taibi had a few games where he made some saves and then reverted to type.

In fairness to the lad, it wasn't just Moreno at fault. He made stupid mistakes, the opposition made hay out of it, diving at every turn, Emre's yellow was a joke.

Whither Alberto? One bad, at times very bad game, no doubt. But drop him? Bring in Robertson, who didn't even make the bench? Don't be surprised if Klopp sticks with him.

One bright spark throughout the game? Step forward, Lovren, he put in a real challenge at every opportunity, taking no prisoners.

But that second half was surrender by the Reds, they gave Saville the game on a plate.

No not really. Thinking Moreno isn't a liability because of a few games where he wasn't would be fickle. Or stupid. Take your pick.

Possibly not. The issue with him has always been his maturity and game intelligence. If he continues like tonight he will be gone at the end of the season. If he continues like he has before this game he'll be kept and hopefully continue to improve.

If you're gonna use one game over all the others he's had this season and determine that it makes you more fickle to go with the the rest of the season, then that's up to you. Personally I don't give a crap what you think, to be completely honest.

I'm gonna say he's had a good season and then had one poor game and thus I'm gonna give him a chance. Others can feel how they like.

I wanted him gone at the end of last season, but am happy to admit he’s done well before tonight. By the big question for me is would you see a proper top class defender doing what Moreno did tonight? The answer has to be no, which is why imo, he needs to go.
