that dismissal of Hales is why he never made it It a test level..going squre on the crease and no forward movement.
You woulda thought batsmens brought up in England on slower pitches would play forward the amount of times our player get caught in the crease is ridiculous.

Again Chris Woakes showing how good a player he is at ODI level, just really poor dismissals from the top order

Did well to claw it back, could have done with an extra 60 runs

Chris woakes is in the team for his bowling not batting.. And hes bowled like a drain for months.. cant remember the last time he bowled well.

How poor is Smith in Limited overs cricket?

what a game...brilliant from England.

Curran shows there is always players who can improve this odi side. The side shouldn't be set in stone at this stage.

woakes is in the side as an all rounder...no different to a player like stokes who can be excellent one day in one discipline but poor in the other, and then swap that round in the following game.

the aussie tracks don't suit his bowling that much, but he had a decent bowl in the 2nd test from memory, and as well as most of the english bowlers this tour

Really annoyed I don’t have BT Sports now. Would’ve enjoyed this.

BT sports are ruining everything.

How's that?

owwwies that
recording ran out with Aussies needing 14 to win,Paine had just flicked a ball over the wicketkeeper for 6 ,so feared the worst
great win

Competitive last couple of games in the end after England pretty comfortably won the first 3.

It was a good effort by our bowlers in both matches after our batsmen got a lot of the plaudits in the first 3. If we could have got Travis Head early in the 4th match when he was struggling then we'd have won that won too.

I thought they'd chase 260 with ease as we had Willey and Ball in the side but Willey bowled well and Ball had a few good overs mixed in with some bad ones so he wasn't overly expensive. Curran was exceptional and Moeen was good too, removed Smith and what a stunning catch to get Marsh.

I think this side still needs some work on adapting to difficult pitches but they're a hugely impressive outfit now with the bowling looking improved.

eng must be hoping they dnt turn into a team who peaks between tournaments, in home conditions they should have walked the ct, must be a mentality thing in tournaments as I think they are probably the most consistent side in the 50over format the last few years

Fantastic stuff from Curran, great example of swing bowling on a decent wicket, just kept going, love his attitude

Alli took a ripper

Had Australia down to chase the 260 easily but Morgan has captained the side really well, nice depth in the team especially with no Plunkett or Woaks

Decent start this, apart from Roy going early, 50-1 off 5
