I'm enjoying the ride. It's actually great to talk to people, and they ACTUALLY know who we are

People I work with openly talk football to me now and we have a common interest! Very sad, but true, no one cares if we're playing Burton at home and that we're on a 50 match unbeaten run. A bit like Celtic, who really gives one. That's another debate.

Middle table for how long? We've played 12 games in 4 months, the next six weeks are crucial. If we come out of that and we're still mid table, then I'll "believe", otherwise we're just a small club pretending to be something we're not, and we still haven't addressed our short comings from last season. πŸ‘

LQ, Mooy is a touchy subject between us lot on here. 99% of us love him, and appreciate the deal we got,the others don't rate him really.

The others are lv and Darn, two expats living in Australia πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί. They think he's ok, but nowt special.

Personally I think he's great, and on his day can mix it up with the best. His delivery is a bit like Hermes, sometimes great, most of the time he'll deliver it to wrong person, but all in all, he's great.

LQ
Mooy.

He can be devastating, But when he's utilized in the right position that suits HIM.
That's not to say he personally chooses the role he operates in at present.
For me, He's a real handful for ANY side operating right up behind the front man/men. either sliding them through, or picking up loose balls & doing his own thing,
LIKE HE DID FOR WESTERN SYDNEY WANDERERS..

The deeper he drops back, the (far) less he becomes effective.
v Bournemouth a classic example, we go the whole 2nd half against 10 men, he drops into the back four (? why I don't know, at 0-2 darn, We should have been throwing the kitchen sink at 'em ) We play shiite, & concede two more
He also should stay well away from taking corners & free kicks, because as opposed to being a supposed advantage, he usually does nothing more than hit the 1st man...The defender, Time after time
To add, When you have a big target man of the quality of Depoitre, providing him with quality cross' is a necessity, especially when as a team we are finding it virtually impossible to score away from home.
He should leave the hard work to Hogg & Williams in mid-field, get out from under their feet re-cycling short, side ways, backwards 5 yard passes, & do what he does BEST,
operate as far forward as he possibly can.

He's scored TWO cracking goals this season, Look where he was & how he was operating,
Terrierific , That's where I want to see him perform against 'City'.

Hi everyone, I’m back from Morocco, where I had a lovely time in the sunshine, I’ve even got a bit of a tan 😊

Mind you I hurt my back on the last day and had to be pushed around the airport in a wheelchair. Believe me it’s not easy trying to steer two suitcases whilst being pushed, we bumped into everything and even got caught up in the lift doors. Madness πŸ˜‚

I’m really looking forward to this game and agree with Hydy that City are a much better side than United, they’re a joy to watch. Although I really don’t expect us to win, and in truth would be ecstatic with a draw, i’m going for my usual prediction of 2-1 to us, Mooy and Depoitre the scorers.

Roll on Sunday, it can’t come quick enough.

I really did hurt my back you rotten lot, should have known better than to expect any sympathy. I have a dodgy back nowadays, probably stems from all the years I spent pushing people round in wheelchairs πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Much to comment about!

UTG, you have my sympathy, back pain is a pain in the...well, back!

Mooy, well Darn said it all really. Apart from the bits he missed out. Mooy plays hospital balls and loves slowing down the game real s l o w. He ain’t worth £8M! Mooy’s a very good average player.

Darn, I’ll have a sniff about and try and find you a link too.

Why all the negativity? Town on their day are a match for any team. If Wagner gets his tactics right and if the lads are up for it, a shock result could be on the cards.

UTT, keep the faith and ‘believe’!

Well Hydy, if the lads go in to the match thinking they’ll lose, then they will. But if they go in thinking they could win...πŸ€”

Many a football team are beaten before they enter the field of play....Our lads have balls bigger than king kong and will give them respect but will not be frightened and have a real go

Remember how well we played against Brighton last season? Well we could put in that kind of performance and still lose 3-6. City really are that good.

One player I'm looking forward to seeing is Leroy Sane. For me he's gone from above average to almost unplayable under Guardiola. As if they didn't already have enough match winners

It's football though and anything really can happen..(we're here aren't we?)...but I've long since chalked off Sunday as one of the seasons' fixtures that, as with Spurs, I'm not attending expecting anything other than a very entertaining lesson.

I'd hate to be negative, see the bad in everything... As we all say.... Living the dream... Not your nightmare

Wetherby, it's called being honest. We showed spurs too much respect and got walloped!

We lost 4-0 away to Bournemouth, 2-0 in both halves, second half, they had ten men and still scored two! people have skirted over this fact, and are too busy blaming the referees first half decisions.

We will get pumped on Sunday, despite of our "12th man"

posted on 24/11/17

And you never mention, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Manchester United, or WBA, skirting around our wins...

posted on 24/11/17

Palace are sh¡te, has Mounie done anything else since the opening day...? NO is the answer.

Newcastle looked a good side, and a decent goal from Mooy was the difference.

Manchester United, well that was a Brucie, two nil up in the first half, wonderland! Weather, crowd and the first half won us that game, and man u didn't turn up in the first half.

West Brom are sh¡te too, hence they sacked their manager ten days after visiting us.

What about Swansea, West Ham, Spurs, Liverpool & Bournemouth?

Burnley, Leicester and Southampton, all decent draws, can't knock them.

So it depends on how you look at things

posted on 24/11/17

So basically you don't have a good word to say about your own club? so all our wins are... The other teams fault, circumstances etc.... You really do need to try & get to a game, feel the spirit, enjoy the pre match Premier league build up, we are all loving it... & we NEVER want to go down again.. It's brilliant... You can't see this on the telly, our club is different now..

I'm just looking at differently to you. I'm not that ar$ed if I'm honest, lost the love a long time ago, hence I turned down a season ticket this season.

Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that we're in the Premier league and the atmosphere is great in and around the stadium/club, but people become blinkered and get over excited about what they are seeing.

I know we've gone up a league and the difference at times is immense, I. E Spurs, but we still haven't learned from last seasons mistakes.

Keep on banging the drum and being positive, and fingers crossed we stay up.
