Ayling getting caught out of position on right side on a continual basis and weak goalkeeping is hurting this team big time, game after game, after game, after game...!!
Don’t be too downhearted. We were good against Boro but Wolves are a class above them and simply too good for us on the night. Let’s see the reaction against Barnsley
Peak, its disappointing to see the same mistakes, game after game, after game, after game...!!
I agree Wolves were too good and deserve their league position, but not an excuse for our shortcomings.
Right back seriously out of form
Left back non existent.
Always gonna suffer
Yep
Agree with that. Vieira has a lot to learn for example. We were looking like making a fight of it until his needless sending off. Lonergan is poor, but Wiedwald is worse. Why on Earth did we let Green go ? Berardi and Ayling both made many positional errors, given Wolves’ pace attack. Ultimately Wolves’ class told in the end and they’ll thump many more teams this season. We’re not as bad as they
made us look or the scoreline suggests.
"Vieira has a lot to learn for example."
This is the unfortunate situation we have with our center midfield - a critical position I think all would agree on.
If one looks back at many successful sides, including going back to us in the early Review days, there was an experienced head there to guide a young, new promising player - Collins and Bremner, later we had Strachan and Jones, then McAllister to guide Speed and Batty.
Currently we have two young players there - Vieira and Phillips.
No one there to provide wisdom and guidance when needed.
You cant play Vieira and Phillips together. They are both young lads learning their trade.
I find it amazing that we don't play Anita in midfield. An experienced, calm head.
Vieira and Phillips is our best pairing IMO. Not biggest fan of Kalvin but he does more than O'Kane. Klich and Anita are unknowns really, Anita hasn't played CM for a while now (RB for Newcastle last season) and Klich barely kicked a ball.
Phillips has 60 apperences, he has been a regular in the team.
He is 21 and he spent most of last season and this season as a first team regular.
He ain’t some teenager with no experience.
In fact after cooper and Dallas in struggling to think of another player in the current squad who has played for Leeds more than he has...
Agree matty
He’s 22 next week.
Dele Ali is younger than him
I agree that Phillips and Vieira are our best options right now.
Nobody here has seen Anita play cm in years and Klich obviously isn't good enough for TC...can someone explain why the coach not buying his own players is a good thing again?
Yeah I get that but hes 21. Hes hardly an experienced older head who can marshall the troops which is something we have needed for years now.
I may get laughed at but claytons out of favour at Boro. He would be ideal
