Only this theory's deranged.
Chelsea were allowed to gatecrash the big boys' party way back when.
City were allowed to more recently.
Spurs have broken into Sky territory.
Leicester won the league two seasons ago.
Meanwhile, untouchables United and Arsenal have missed out, and Liverpool have been bobbing in and out for ages.
So why would Everton, and specifically Everton more than any other club, be barred from trying to challenge?
If you can't see how your theory doesn't have a leg to stand on, I'd recommend you see a shrink.
Spurs have always been part of the "Sky *" . In fact it was them, Alan Sugar and Claude specifically, who were the driving force behind Sky getting PL coverage in the first place - Arsenal and United favoured ITV.
"Embarrassing" would best describe the game at Goodison yesterday. The few Everton fans at the game should be embarrassed, the team on the field should be embarrassed, the manager(?) should be embarrassed for fielding the team that he picked...yes I know the result would not have made a difference to their Europa standings, however, it cast a dark shadow over the once great Everton FC. The aging Rooney was the only blues player that seemed to have any energy. The only value of the game yesterday was that it set the spotlight on Moyes job security. And he just got here!
Ooops! Mr. Moyes isn't there anymore, maybe that is the problem?????????????
