To be fair Superb a lot of people already are saying oh Fury took drugs etc etc, i had a feeling a settlement would come to something like how it has, Fury could continue to deny it, and they could continue to prove it, but it seems like neither had enough evidence to do either, and it would just rumble on and on and on, and take even more years, and if Fury eventually got proved right then UKAD would go bust anyway through a lawsuit.

This agreement works for all parties, and a slightly high level of nandrolone which can easily occur in their urine after having s3x with pregnant women, on eating testicles of wild boar or eating pork from uncastrated male pigs, is really common.

And he's still basically served a 2 year ban anyway, Hughie on the other hand has had no issues really, so it really couldn't have been that serious or an issue.

Ortiz getting unbanned already is a complete joke though

Was interesting to hear DIllian Whyte saying he thought Fury would sign for Matchroom though, seems like a deal was v close

Yeah I think that 2019 is much more likely than 2018 for an AJ Vs Fury fight. Did hear that Fury wants Price for his first fight back.

I'm more interested to see what happens in terms of training, is he going back with Peter or this new guy Ben? Seems like a bit of tension with him and Peter since the whole Parker/Hughie fight ( Fury doing haka's with Parker ) and Haye/Hughie/Peter (Pictured together etc and Tyson was p!ssed )

Maybe just conditioning with Ben for another 3 months get the love back get some weight off have fun then back with Peter for a proper camp, as neither Peter or Tyson are of use to each other for a couple months yet

Interesting choice. Fury should win (obviously) and would win 90% of the time but I didn't think he'd pick someone as physically big as him (or at least the same kind of size) and a puncher for a comeback fight.

Fury would almost certainly win but Price would have an opportunity to catch him cold.

surly for the fans that's the way to go? - one thing about the sport of boxing is that its controlled by politics and money and it hinders fans enjoyment.

So what if Price lands a suburb right hand on Fury and he gets floored, thats boxing and thats the sport... what fun is it for any of us to watch (and pay) for Fury to come back and smash someone in that doesn;t throw a single punch back?

get him fighting again FFS

But Fury is very under rated and is very naturally gifted which is also what he has going for him, as opposed to say AJ who is not a naturally gifted fighter.

Completley agree, his footwork is especially underated, no one has made Klit look as lost in a fight as Fury did.

AJ wil lhave th esame problems, I like AJ and he really showed his mental and physical toughness in the Klit fight, but both AJ and Klit are quite robotic and straight line fighters, Fury fights from crazy angles, never stops moving his head and feet and his size is a major problem too for AJ, Klit was very light for the AJ fight, AJ hasn't faced a man as big as Tyson.

Can't see Price winning, of course any heavyweight has a punchers chance, but Fury, even a returning one is a far better fighter than Tony Thompson who beat Price easily twice.

Wasn't criticising it mate, just saying it's a slightly surprising choice. Perhaps I've seen too many people take easy come backs (Haye v's some plumber or landlord etc) and expected Fury to do likewise.

That said, Price isn't even in the White or Chisora leagues never mind being close to Fury. Should still be a relatively easy evenings work, just one with an outside shot of an upset.

Solo, I know mate haha

Haye was the example I used when I was just talking to my mate at work... first round, the guy didn;t even throw a shot back... he just stood in the corner covered up, and let Hay put him down, then Haye went and stood on the ropes like he'd just won an epic war...

its just its the side that annoys me, the arguing over purse too, I think it just gets in the way of what fans want to see... though I see why it happens I guess, but two fighters should be 50/50 IMO, I see why its not the case though, referring to an AJ vs Parker/Wilder...

As a fan, I'd like to see Fury vs Whyte, it won;t happen as I think Whyte has a bit more of a punchers chance there, but you see what I mean, that fight would be worth £20 box office, rather than Fury vs a dude who's just going to cover up...

I get why it happens, I'm not what you;d call a casual, I'm an amateur middle weight so I know the game.. its just vastly annoying cos if I'm paying to watch fights - I want them to be fights, not just one way traffic

posted on 14/12/17

Yeh i do agree it is annoying but the problem is and the way you have to see it is he does need one or two easy warm-ups, by the time he fights again in April he would of been out of the ring 2 and a half years! You can't even go back in the ring against semi-credible opposition after an absence like that to begin, especially not Price, yeh he's $hit but he's still a big old dude with a massive punch.

Fury needs light work to begin with, get everything back flowing again, the first fight and possibly the 2nd depending on how he gets on have to be easy opponents.

Not everyone can do a Mayweather one of a kind ( 2 years out the ring and still outclassed Marquez ). Just look at Degale's comeback fight the other night, he lost.

I get their will be critics but it's also stupid to have had 2 and a half years out the ring, abusing your body, for 2 years of it, and then coming back against a serious opponent, just asking to lose

posted on 15/12/17

yeah from Furys point of view defo... I guess the last thing he wants to do is to get beat in his comeback fight, would lose all credibility and the championship lot wouldn't even consider him - he'd have to start all of again, would be about 5 fights backwards ha..

lets just hope they put it on normal sky sports 1, cos I'll be miffed if I have to pay to see Fury dancing for 8 rounds and not talking one single shot

----------------------------------------------------
Yeah exactly. We can only guess as to how badly Fury has looked after his body in this two year gap. I suspect that it's even worse than many of us have feared.

Coming straight back to fight someone like David Price could be a mistake. His first fight back should be against some no mark.

Na he's with boxnation / bt so it will be on there and his comeback fight won't be ppv

And yeh remember in his first fight he'll still be defending the ring magazine belt

posted on 15/12/17

Yeh price gets a lucky win and becomes ring magazine champion could you imagine

But yeh superb, it should be - absolute no hoper he can just dance n jab at for 10 rounds, then a bit tougher opposition / all english clash with price/allen etc then maybe a mid-level fighter like helenius/ustinov/charr/briggs etc then a top fight

He needs rounds, his accuracy and timing is what will not be there, will take 2 fights maybe 3 to get back up to speed and back to his top game.

2018 is about getting back into it, then 2019 is when he should go back for the belts. That's the sensible play, i know a lot of people want AJ v Fury now but it just aint gunna happen and rightly so until 2019 or nov/dec 2018.

They'll still only both be 30/31 in 2019 anyway

Given all of the above, why isn’t Hearn/AJ pushing for the Fury fight sooner rather than later?

Hearn was quoted as saying they need to build up the fight and it’ll be 2019. If I were him I think I’d be trying to make it for autum 2018 - before Fury properly finds his feet again.

I know that’s not best for the sport (want to see both at full capacity) but since when has Hearn cared about that?!
