No I don’t agree that a journalist working at the stadium of the richest club in the world in 2017 should expect to have no WiFi when WiFi is essential to the job they are there to do, they’re not reporting in the middle of the jungle.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why is it essential? Can’t they afford a wireless dongle or an decent phone contract?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
While I agree it is important to have a strong WI-FI connection in the modern world of journalism and media it's not impossible to file a match report without it, they used to before the internet was invented.
But live updates on social media are important now, as is getting the report sent off, pretty much on the whistle. Then there's the post-match reaction later on.
Mike
I said they can but I think working in such an environment where a large area of the stadium is already catered for the media, that offering WiFi really should be a basic requirement. As he stated every other club do it perfectly fine and rightly so imo so why shouldn’t United?
Just seems incredibly lazy on Uniteds part, clearly isn’t a financial problem and in 2017 expecting people who are there to work should provide their own dongle is ridiculous.
I agree the food is awful but I’ve never entered a stadium looking forward to the food.

So OT, the largest club ground in the country needs to be re-developed, the WI-FI signal isn't great, and the corporate fans may, or may not, be fed up with steak and chips?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There have been numerous health violations with vermin in the hospitality areas and kitchens.

Lack of wifi?? Is he serious? Journalists should be more prepared than that surely to connect online . Why dont they bring their own wifi dongles/usb sticks

I'd imagine wifi is pretty important for a journalist, especially if they need regular updates on a game but surly for a club the size of United it would cost peanuts to sort out?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The world would actually be a much better place if 99% of football 'journalists' were legally deprived of any form of internet access.
Preferably by being housed permanently in Guantanamo Bay.

Takeaway and a new router should do it, but if that fails then yes.
Plenty of room just to the north of KL airport or near A3 to build one close to the fanbase.
It appears that this Bell has a few personal issues with OT and is throwing his toys out of the pram. Immature and irresponsible journo -nothing new. Perhaps his Mum didn't show him enough affection as a little girl.

Or, and I’m going out on a limb here as I have just read earlier in this thread that the journalist is a rag, that the guy is a tad miffed that there is a perceived lack of interested by the owners to raise the standard of match day experiences for journos and fans alike.
Just offering another point of view.
They could actually offer those official pillows should one wish to have a snooze just after half time.
If people want a new stadium because of the quality of WiFi it says a lot about our society.
