Must be delighted with Porto Kneerash.
I feel most sorry for PSG. Come first and get Real Madrid, Bayern who come second get Besiktas
Yeah very happy, we have to be careful and ensure we come out of the frst away game with a decent result, but no complaints from me I would have taken Porto all day this morning.
I fancy Liverpool against anyone if they play the second leg at home TBH. Seriously think Liverpool could do well in it this year and will probably have a cheeky bet on it

But apparently Real aren't the same anymore so should be easy for PSG
I'm not convinced with Liverpool. Historically the teams that tend to be best in the CL have had the best defences.
Even if RM aren't as defensively proficient as some of their opponents they are still of a high level. Conservative football is traditionally king.

Had we come runners-up we would've got PSG. Bigger ouch!

Real Madrid are in such poor form, that all the pundits are tipping them to beat PSG.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Feck what a pudit says!
You lot REALLY need to put that Madrid result to bed now though.
You won a group game, fair play, knock them OUT the competition, then maybe you have something to crow about.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs probably have already all but knocked Madrid out, by consigning them to 2nd in the group, they have been given the hardest possible draw, and will struggle to get past PSG if they could not beat Spurs over two matches.

I'd be interested to know how the Juve fans have reacted to getting us.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably like ' who the feck are Spurs?'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair it's a better reaction than the Bayern fans when they draw Arsenal every year
They probably just piiisss themselves laughing
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I was waiting for the bite.
Playing a team twice is not every year
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bite?
Ok mate
To be fair it could apply to Barca...Bayern, take your pick. The two are interchangeable

I know that is why the CL draws are such a joke. Should just be an open draw from the off. Even if four English clubs end up in the same group, so what. There is no real advantage of finishing 1st or 2nd in reality.
Chelsea would have got Besiktas if they finished top Sandy, they got Barca, that alone shows there is a difference.
I know what you're saying as some teams who finished top got a tough draw, but you have a better chance of a better draw if you top the group and more importantly you have the away leg first which can be key to progressing.

Is it really though? People go on about the advantage of being at home for the second leg, but I'd be interested to find out if it actually is.

Kills the groups earlier though.
By the end usually its the 1st/2nd place battle that's most interesting. Without that teams qualified would just put out B sides devaluing the competition.
We should know by now that God doesn't like Spurs. Constantly craps on us.

I'd imagine it must be but have no stats on it, might just be considering it from the Liverpool perspective as we've managed some great results in 2nd legs at home over the years.
Tough draw for Arsenal playing Dr Manhattan
You could offer to play both legs away.....
worth an ask surely

We will be anyway. The 17/18 season for us is 100% away matches.
tbh at least we know that if we don't show up, we will be knocked out.
we should raise our game and we can beat them if we play to our potential.
I would be quite concerned about one of the "easy" ties on paper.. as this is when we would probably take it too lightly and get dumped out
It's a difficult draw and will depend on Juventus' approach to the game.
We struggle to break down teams that defend and Juventus have the players capable of containing our attacking line especially If our player's aren't in form.
Equally they have the quality unlike typical teams who will sit back against us in the Premier League, to punish us on the counter. Dybala, Cuadrado, Higuain, Pjanic and the rest are talented players.
I think it'll be our most difficult game(s) so far in the CL. More so than Real Madrid and Dortmund.
Winning a group containing Madrid and Dortmund is always something to be proud of. No need to get all precious just because someone says they weren't at their best ffs.

Spurs are already playing both legs away from home. That is what has made it all the more remarkable they topped their group.
Playing at home 2nd leg used to be a massive advantage years back, usually a 1-0 or even a 2-0 away defeat was easy to turn over in the home leg. But these days teams know how to set up to defend leads in the away tie much better, so no real advantage for the home team chasing a 1-0 deficit in the away leg usually becomes ultra difficult in the home leg, and panic can set in.
Classic Spurs, win their Champions League group and then get arguably the hardest tie possible.
I'd play Lamela from the start along with Son.
