As for killing the high street. There will always be phone shops, clothes shops and supermarkets. You just can't replicate going to these places, even with ASOS etc, you need to try things like suits.
But don't hear anyone blaming asda and tesco for selling clothing etc now. Seems weird to blame just one faction for the high street dying even if the internet has made things more challenging.

they paid 16.5m tax on 59.6m pre tax profits. They did payout 95m on dividends and from the company share scheme however!!

Wow, that's a lot more than me but i'd be scared to see what i've spent since my first order in 2003.
Amazon, eBay is pants. Amazon is also always the cheapest I can find on most products.
Been with them for about 6 years. Placed hundreds of orders. And with AddressPal from An Post its easy to order stuff thats not delivered to Ireland.
Customer service is absolutely the best I have ever experienced bar none. Its actually ridiculous the service they provide.
I do hear though that working for Amazon is a sweatshop type of job.
