Good manager Moysie
Or at least better than he is given credit for
He should have been given more time at Liverpool
I agree pplf. They are both decent men and decent managers. Not being quite good enough for the top clubs shouldn't open them to the personal abuse they got. I hope they both do well at the clubs they're at now.

Of course you think that, you didn’t have the watch the terrible football and could just laugh at our ineptitude. I think Jacque Santini should have been given more time. Equally hilarious.

Both good at that level which is not a criticism. Well Moyes was before anyway. Neither would make it a top club.

This. I never understand the hate some of our fans have for Moyes. He was brave to take on the job but just wasn’t big enough for it.
I supported him every minute he was in charged but was glad when he left. Never disliked him though.

What you have there is a sensible response to a manager clearly out of his depth. Sadly both our clubs have fans who didn’t react sensibly.
Frankly when Roy left I wasn’t so much pleased as just relieved.

I expect you're right. Then again Santini only had a little over 10 games. All managers should have at least a season.
The OP seems to be quite clued up on Roy. Perhaps he can walk us through what trophies he has won in his long career?
Spurtle, I've got the tune from that Hodgson video stuck in my head now. Thanks
I think he's probably won as many as Moyes. And your point being?
Hodgson has won loads. About 8 titles and numerous cups.
Oh, a quick look at Wiki shows he won six titles in Sweden, got Switzerland and Finland to their highest ever ranking. I'll come back to you if I find more.
Ah yes, he won the Danish title too.
And just in case anyone was in any doubt, his methods do translate. They've translated from Orebro to Halmstads to Neuchatel Xamax.
He also got Fulham to their highest ever league placing, and got them to a Europa final.

I’d argue the europa final was probably his finest hour. Hugely impressive that run.

Yeah it was a good run that, especially the turnaround against Juventus. Unfortunately it was also what got him a job at Anfield.
