Go find a psychic medium and ask Jimmy Greaves what he thinks - we would pay attention to Greavsie's thoughts - in the meantime just fack off and play with your Xmas toys!

Conte is not perfect, but his style of football is infinitely better now. Yes, we've had our ups and downs especially this season. Don't forget that he does not not have unlimited funds to improve his squad that the likes of Jose and Pep have had in their respective clubs. Both Man clubs beat us to Mendy and Danilo and Lukaku simply because they would offer more money. We settled for the second best targets in the last two transfer window.

Try going to a game. Then maybe you won’t have 35000 empty plastic seats on Boxing Day

Conte is brilliant. Except for a couple of poor results, we would be competing for top spot in any "normal" season. Hats off to City for moving the goalposts this season with some of the best football I have ever witnessed, however Conte is our best option to get us back competing next season. I do think we need another striker...whteher in Jan or we have to wait until the summer. Bats is just dreadful. I would love to be linked with Sanchez but we don't seem to be

I'm happy with him, we do need to back himin the market though. I also expect him to stay.

Conte is an excellent manager and with the possible exception of Simeone the very best manager we could possibly hope to have at the club. He is literally the ceiling and anyone else will be a step down.

He hasn't been backed by the club as well as he should have been last summer. That's just a fact sadly.

Reading between the lines it looks like he'll move on in the summer and Ancelotti will replace him.

Conte is going a great job our form is actually very very good at the moment you can’t grumble with it

We were never competing in the league with the players we bought the board knew that, conte knew it and the players knew it.

We do need to back him in the market though better than what we did in the summer , drinkwater bakayoko and zappacosta have been terrible signings. bakayoko will improve though

However I have been saying this for ages, we start giving our youth a proper go and we create a team capable of winning things for many years

RLC
ampadu
Christiansen
Hudson odoi
Dujon Sterling
Musonda
Tammy

The list goes on, there are players in that list that are better than zappacosta drinkwater and bakayoko

We just need to create an atmosphere where it’s acceptable to play these kids to create a sustainable future rather than blow our money on dross, we need a manager who is willing to do that though

For that we need an owner that won't change the goalposts or will give said willing manager the time to do that.

Conte has been fantastic bar against the big teams where tactically he gives teams too much respect. However winning the title with the squad we have had only been topped by Leicester winning it imo.
We have several good players who paper over the cracks of average players who are limited. This stops any style of play and we are reliant on hazard and fabregas to break teams down.
I love Alonso but his lack of pace means unless against a team camped in their own box he cannot get up the pitch to effect the game. Always has to cut in.
Moses is the opposite who is a good athlete but terrible at everything else.
Cahill is looking past it, rudiger hit and miss and our back up players are not good enough in bats.

Add to that we seem to have bought maybe the poorest on ball player I've seen at the club(worse than Ramires)after doing great to offload matic.

Conte is working miracles and we should saviour the passion he brings to the club.

Fully agree that Conte shouldn't be pushed, and that any assertions that he should be are us either panicking or being stupid, but we should be planning contingencies in the event he jumps or gets poached (both of which are very possible within the next 18 months).

The Ancelotti thing is delicate. We know if we don't pick him up he'll likely end up at a PL rival, so if there is genuine interest on our part it boils down to a lack of faith in Conte's long term commitment. So until Ancelotti gets a job or Conte signs an extension it's an awkward situation.

Conte is as good a manager as anyone else out there - he is just not getting the support he needs from the board. It's incomprehensible to me - he has to manage with one arm tied behind his back. He worked miracles last season to win the league, but the board can't expect miracles every season. If he agrees to sign a long term contract, the board should agree to back him in the marketplace. Then we'd compete on a level playing field.

The toxic mix of the younger modern day fan and social media means there is always a very short term and intolerant public view opinion on managers and players alike.

Pundits jump on it to make it worse too... i hat the way the game is covered/followed these days

I much prefer Conte to Ancelotti. I'm not going to claim that Carlo is a poor manager (that would be ridiculous) but i don't think he's got the tactical nouse of Conte or Mourinho, or even Rafa (just listing Chelsea managers). I think looking at Carlo's record at Chelsea, Real and Bayern suggests he's good at continuing the predecessor's good work but can't reinvent the team in the following season with a succession plan. I also think he likes a aged team instead of young developing team he's obviously had a sucessful career, especially at Milan, but I wouldn't want him at Chelsea over Conte

If this was Conte’s first season I don’t think a single Chelsea fan would be unhappy with how things are going at the moment. It’s just because what he achieved last season was so incredible, expectations are ridiculously high

I agree Bats and it is probably compounded even more by the fact that Man City are setting a pace that no-one can live with. In a normal season we would now be quite handily placed for a tilt at the title again but we like everybody else won't even be in City's rear view mirror at the end of the season IMO.

The way City are playing they will win 35 or 36 matches in Premiership this season which is not good from Chelsea's point.

I have a source, I spoke to him about Conte a while back and he says he's happy enough there. That doesn't mean things won't change but it's enough for me.
