I get you’re excited about the deal. Tbh even though I don’t think it’s a certainty he’ll be a hit at Liverpool I’d be just as excited as you if we signed him
Honest question - if getting him means you lose Coutinho this window would that bum you out a bit? Does it take away a lot of the lustre?

IF that happens then it wouldn’t for me. We have a very impressive array of attacking talent and still are as good as anyone going forward even without coutinho, at the back we are poor. Getting a top class centre half in is more important than keeping one of the “fab four”. Now if we were to lose a couple of them it would be different.
But if coutinho goes I’d expect us to look for another quality attacking player. Klopp is quite good at finding those.

He is a very good defender. A bit overpriced but they annoyed Saints in the summer so that was to be expected. A good signing, but he will have his work cut out to shore up that defence unless more defenders are signed - especially with Klopp's attacking style.

Busby. I think you mean it isn't only about the back four, and your right. But you can't afford to have four poor players there either.
It needs four good players, good organisation, cover from the midfield, nanda not giving the ball away cheaply. But it still needs good players.

Fairly certain we’ll be signing Ozil this summer and possibly Rose this winter window
Both will help us a lot
He's good is VVD. Should improve them.
Always wary of spending big on CBs though. They are very dependent on the system they play in and the players around them. You only have to look at Lovren as an example
Benitez just brought on Atsu, he is chopping them left, right and centre the City defence. It pains me even more now that we sat back and let these guys have all the possession at Old trafford
