Sorry I should have said, before anybody jumps on the post, but I have put in two left backs. Very modern that full backs can be interchangeable, and play left or right back and are very interchangeable. As usual I think from the box. Pick your best two full backs, whether both right or left, and then let them interchange depending on the opposition.
Because it is team of the year it makes it harder to agree with the OP on all choices.
And I can't see how any team of the year does not have Azpilicueta in it
Show us the stats. Most goals, most assists etc. Chelsea won the league last season and are 2nd right now, so you’d expect a few of theirs. City are streaming away (so far) this season and finished last season reasonably so you’d expect a few of theirs. Add Kane and Sanchez to the mix and you have yourself a team of 2017.

Rose has played 4 games this season. Alonso has played 21. He's also scored 11 goals the past 2 seasons where Rose has scored just 2.
Rose was great for a lot of last season but no.
Rose and Vertonghen get in that team over Azpilicueta
Alli shouldn't be in a TOTY either. Someone who has been criticised a lot of this season.
Alli over Silva? Unless the aim is to boot the opposition off the park or give rude signs to the ref, never in a million years.
