They should get rid of Bayliss now, I don`t care how good or qualified he is, there is no way England should be entering an Ashes series with an Australian coach. It`s like the England football team having Strachan or Dalglish as manager, it should never happen. Give it to an Englishman, there must be some good English coaches on the county circuit.

Yeah very uninspiring as Kash says.

Balance should never have been in the Ashes squad, but can feel upset has been dropped for doing nothing wrong.

It really is the last chance for Stoneman and certainly Vince. Both are not spring chickens and if they don't deliver, I would much rather we get some young lads in and let them fail and grow as Test cricketers.

I suspect Hameed is being closely monitored and if he starts the season well will come back in - Either as opener or 3.

The selectors and Bayliss have both suggested they are more open to youngsters all of a sudden. Personally for this New Zealand tour I would have rested Broad and Ali and dropped Stoneman, Vince and Woakes.

Calling up Wood is a risk and you feel this is his last chance to prove himself - Not only to put injuries in the past but prove he can maintain fitness to bowl fast throughout the match and not just his first spell. If he fails, he needs to concentrate on limited over matches.

Wasn't Moeen Ali one of England's best players in the Summer? yet one poor series in Australia where 75% of the England players were equally poor and people are calling for his head.

The other 2 might be the guys Stokes had a go at. There was a story that they were giving a gay guy some grief and Stokes stepped in.

He wont do time.. Its his first offence and alcohol was involved. so basically they will say he wasn't fully aware of his actions. Stokes will get fined a lot and do community service,

Well he's available for selection and his hearing is in a few weeks times so this should hopefully be all done and dusted well before the series kicks off.

Stokes and Woakes will probably come back into the side for Curran and Crane as the only changes which does improve us a lot. Obviously still got issues in our top order; Cook needs a few more 50s around the big scores, Stoneman and Vince need to impress with Root needing to go big more often.

England will probably go with cook, stoneman, Vince,root, malan, stokes, bairstow,moeen, woakes, broad, Anderson. Stoneman found out by the Aussie quicker. If hameed starts the season well he will replace him. Vince is a walking wicket at 3. Root should bat 3. Would give Livingston a go at 6. Also bowls off spin so back up to the main spinner. Moeen he has to produce now or bin him off. Also broad, wood is breathing down his neck. I would going forward after this series. Cook, hameed, root, malan, bairstow, Livingston, stokes, woakes, Rashid, wood, Anderson.

I was against Root batting 3. I think its time he moved up..Probably move Malan upto 4.. we need a number 5.. Stokes 6..Bairstow 7 and Ali 8. I wouldn't dismiss Moeen Ali just yet. if we wanna beat India at home we need to bat long and bat them out of the game.
I think we have the bowlers to bowl them out in English conditions.

Rashid top wicket taker in India. Got 38 wickets in his 10 tests which ain't bad. Got to get away from this part time spinner business and play a specialist. I don't get how England are now looking at crane who is too young and done nothing in county cricket while Rashid is approaching his prime. As usual it's jobs for the boys and certain players are automatic picks and the opposite if your face doesn't fit.
