We don't need to bring back players why they are out on loan Gem. Evans is an example. Sold him without returning to Wolves for 750,000 quid.

We won’t have missed much. Graham was over rated by Wolves fans due to how poor we were going forwards at the time he broke through. Decent Chanpionship winger but not a patch on the attackers we have now.

I agree Tam. Also he is a pure winger with little or no defensive ability so how would he fit in with Nuno's 3:5:3 system?
Have to think he has been recalled because we have had an offer from another club for him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t think he is eligible to play for another club now. A player can only play official matches for a maximum of two clubs per season. Did he play any matches for Wolves prior to his loan?

I'm not really suggesting that he's better than the wing backs we have now. What I've suggested is, he gets a run out against Swansea to see if he still has the ability to remain in our squad. If he is, then he's a decent cover for Doherty and we don't need to spend money to cover that position. It must be what the club are thinking too, or else why have they brought him back?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They brought him back because he wasn’t playing for Fulham. They have obviously decided he would be better off playing in our u23s than in Fulham’s.

Both Mason and Nazon have also returned to Wolves having had their loans expire. Graham had a season long loan at Fulham. I think Nuno can get the best out of Graham just like he has with certain other players. He's never played in a 3.4.3 set up, but a run out in the Cup game could give us some idea. He has talent, no doubt about that.

We have several players still out on loan with other clubs who are not getting regular football. Do we bring them back as well?

We'll just have to see where this is going and no he didn't play any games before he went to Fulham, so another loan would be a possibility if that is what the club are thinking.

As I said before Graham has little or no defensive ability and is no way a cover for Doherty. The present team defends with 5 defenders which is why we concede so few goals. Graham is not a defender, putting him in instead of Doherty would be a disaster.
If Graham could play in the same role as Jota, Costa and Cavaleiro then he could be a real asset, unfortunately he is not in the same class as those three so I don't think we will be seeing him turning out for the first team any time soon.

From the Wolves official website:-

Jordan Graham has returned from his loan spell with Fulham.

The 22-year-old winger has found first team opportunities hard to come by at Craven Cottage and so makes an early return to Wolves.

Graham made four appearances during his time with the London side, three in the Sky Bet Championship and one in the Checkatrade Trophy, scoring twice in the cup tie.

I guess we'll all have to wait and see what happens to the lad, but he did get rave reviews on his return at the back end of last season, getting an assist in our 1-0 win over Preston. I just hope Nuno can work with him for a couple of weeks, assess him and if he feels he needs to go back out on loan, then so be it.

If we have a young player out on loan who could be coached as cover for Doherty it's Dom Iorfa not Jordan Graham. If Nuno can't coach Iorfa into a wing back with his natural attributes he is not even going to try with Graham.
Graham will be sold either in the next 2 weeks or in the summer. He has a future in football but it won't be at Wolves.

I don't normally see WIT'SS' posts, but those I do seem to be concerned about the club not spending. Mystified about why that should be. We are no longer paupers and Fosun will do what it takes.

As Tam says, I would imagine we would rather he were in our u23s than in someone else's.

He was loaned to get game time and isn't getting it.

Bute. I don't have a problem with the club spending money. But it has to be money well spent on getting in better players than we have now. January isn't the best time to get players and we have no guarantee that we'll get promoted yet. So in my opinion, it'll be better to wait until we are promoted. That way we can open the cheque book when more and better players will be available. The 1.5m we have spent so far seems about right and we've probably re-couped that with the sales of Price and Evans. Maybe we will see more players come in, who knows?

With regard to Graham, I personally would like to see him given another chance with the first team, but hey that's just my opinion.

(Maybe someone can copy this and re-post it for Bute)

Apologies to Tam. I stated that Graham hadn't played for Wolves before he went to Fulham. He came on for 6 minutes in the first game of the season.

Charlie Nicholas put this on Sky Sports...

"I thought this was going to be the tie of the round and that Wolves would have seen them off. They've gone into a bit of awkwardness with scoring goals.

I covered Swansea at the weekend and they weren't bad. We all know about their issues scoring goals, but Ki Sung-yueng was good in midfield and it tells the story that Ollie McBurnie is keeping Wilfried Bony and Tammy Abraham out of the team.

There was enough to suggest they are improving and I'm going for them to see Wolves off, with Carlos Carvalhal motivated by having a crack at the FA Cup.

Charlie predicts: 2-0 and Abraham to score first"

Two polls held on Twitter this week.

Firstly would you take 2nd place in the final league table if it was offered now?
52% voted yes, 48% no

Secondly who has been Wolves player of the season so far. 2,250 people voted on this after it was narrowed down to the 4 most players with the most votes;
Coady 33%
Neves 30%
Boly 19%
Jota 18%

I would take second for sure.

As for player of the season, Coady has done great but let's not kid ourselves he is player of the season, it is just a hipster choice like saying 'all the foreigners but it's our boy that is the best'.

Think Boly should probably get it but Neves, Saiss and Jota also been excellent and overall not a single player would score less than a 7/10.

Just been checking the results tonight and I see to my surprise that Bod got a hat trick for Reading tonight. Yes that's Jon Dadi Bodvarsson with three (3) goals in a single match. Was only Stevenage mind you.

posted on 16/1/18

Find it interesting that not a single player of ours who left this summer either permanently or on loan has done anything worth a shat.

Bodvarsson easily the best of those we let go mind and think he could have been useful at times this season despite being a pretty poor finisher.

I'd give POTS to Coady right now. Neves is pushing him close though. If Jota and Bonatini start hitting the net again soon though, its going to be a scrap.
