Have Utd agreed to Sanchez's demands? Or have they baulked at the numbers too like City?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ed Woodward sees it as a challenge to match or better it, rather than something to baulk at.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just wondering what the hold up was that's all. Got a feeling he might not move at all this month.
Maybe city just didn't feel he was committed to them. Does seem like a sly cant.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him stay and then move to City in the summer.
Him and his agent have played this very well if it was the one big last payday he was after.
IMO the hold up is more Micky agreeing terms with Arsenal. I doubt he expected to be going there until this week

I use to care about spending obscene money and stupid wages, but now it's become such the norm, you just have to say "It's not our money, the club will spend even more to buy the league.."
However, in this case - Are we just saying to Sanchez, "We'll bend over and here's a blank cheque..."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
More to the point where would that money go if not on players? The pockets of the Glazers? Certainly not the fans.
Ed Woodward would be the only daft person who sees value in offering Arsenal 35m, the player 30m+ signing on fee and wages in excess of 350k pw.
Sanchez has been a shadow of the player from last season and one who available for nothing in a few months. He also reportedly wants to play for Pep.
But as with anything Ed believes throwing money around solves everything.

Agreed, seems like desperation more than anything else.
£65m for Sanchez isn't terrible value, what are people seeing here?
We paid £75m for Lukaku few, less for Sanchez is a good deal.

I can see this dragging on for another few weeks, it's getting boring.

The 30m signing on fee I think? 20m to Sanchez and 10m to his agent if I'm correct. Or is it 25 and 5 to his agent.

It isn't exactly record breaking. Relatively speaking it's similar to the RVP transfer, if he has an impact anything like that it's worth every penny.

I have nothing against massive financial outlays but purchases, very expensive ones, post fergie smacks of desperation at times.
It's common knowledge we've been poor in the transfer market, Ed would be the main cause
There's no guarantee we'll get him, there's also no guarantee he'd reproduce his form of old especially under Jose.
