What a bizarre post. Moss would have no idea whether that goal was onside or not as he completely relies on his linesman.
He checked in with the VAR team as you’re supposed to do and would have awarded the goal based on them telling him Ian was onside. That’s it.
Are you now moaning you got awarded the goal
To be fair to Thorney, any excuse to moan about Jon Moss is a good excuse....
I actually think Jon Moss is going to love this. What a great excuse for both late referee-led drama and having everyone in the stadium looking at him for a good minute or two. Possibly on multiple occasions. I bet Mike Dean's having excitable dreams about it for the same reason.
Thats the whole point Dunge, whilst he got it right, he must have loved it,all the cameras being on him and the focus of attention.
Some refs like to be rather anonymous, others like to be focus of attention.
Clattenburg would have engineered it , posed for the cameras ,and then had a tattoo on his arm celebrating it!!
Hooray for VAR
Moss didnt get it right,he got it wronfg ( or more speciffically his linesman did)
and my understanding is that if VAR is available,
all 'goals' are checked,so it wasntMoss'decision to refer it.
The good thing is that they came to the right decision
wghich is unusual if Moss is reffing.
U T VAR
Did anyone watch Chelsea v Norwich last night
It was a classic example of a ref (Graham Scott)
not having a clue howto use VAR, or at least he never
appeared to be consulting Mr Jones except for whether
he had given the correct decision in awarding a corner !!!
Having said that Pedro's dive was so bad, I trhink Scott took the view that for every Chelsea penalty shout they were trtying to con him.
VAR is going to take time for all parties to get used to.
At least our mate Mr Miss showed he knew how to use it.
