Yes I had a bit of alcohol going, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t laugh out loud.

Don't Look Up - 1/10

Not remotely funny, completely lacking in subtlety and wit, and just exists to confirm the prejudices of people I would actively avoid in real life.

West Side Story - 9/10

Close to flawless. Spielberg remains virtuoso when it comes to directing, editing and filling a movie with earned emotion.

Spider Man - No Way Home - 6/10

It's not a movie, it's a mostly enjoyable but overlong theme park ride.

Power of the Dog (rewatch) - 10/10

Possibly the best movie of the year - stunning.

Power of the dog…started watching that, nicely shot and acted, but I got a bit bored and switched it over- not really the films fault just wasn’t in the mood for that type of slow burn. Take it’s worth persevering with?

I saw it first time at cinema, which helped.

I tend to need to see films like that in a place where I don't have the power to distract myself and I can be immersed in it.

Thought it was great.

But we do never agree on films to be fair

Spider Man - No Way Home 7/10

Way too hyped. Nostalgia influencing ratings.

Completely agree!

They nailed it and got the right mix of nostalgia, performances and direction.

Watched it despite being warned about it. Stay away from this at all costs. Save yourselves.

Spider-Man: No Way Home - 8/10

Not huge fan of the MCU movies and thought the first two Tom Holland Spider-Man films were vastly overrated, but I did enjoy this one, particularly the first half.

It probably opens up a few plot holes or at least difficult to explain concepts, but if you just sit back and enjoy it for what it is, very enjoyable experience.

He made a conscious decision to mock Trump and Trumpism. McKay’s message on the ignorance and incompetence of those in power went from one of genuine importance to a partisan swipe.

It’s the kind of petty indifference that the film spent 2 hours telling us would lead to the breakdown of society.

As a piece of entertainment however, outstanding

Ah, yes, pretty on the nose that, wasn’t it.
I mean someone even says about Ignoring Science...
Yes defo a strike at Trump, but I was thinking about Boris too... and Sweden.
And then the ‘Dont Look Up’ chants...

Don’t look up 8/10 enjoyed that, some great ‘satire’ in there. Sadly the satire wasn’t too far away from truth…

Not remotely funny, predictable SNL type humour that is only humorous if it reinforces your prejudices.
