Continuing my trend of trying to soil myself; watched Blair With Project for the 2nd time last night.

Must say, I'm a big fan of how it is done (and how they marketed it back in the day):

8/10 - probably would've been 9/10 if we adjust for age.

I would go as far as to say it’s the only film to have ever scared me.

Most people judge it on their experience at the Cinema but Its the kind of film that really ought to be watched alone in your house .. an entirely different experience to sitting amongst 200 people munching on popcorn.

It really doesn’t get the credit it deserves. To make a film like that at a team when teen slashers were all the rage was very bold. They didn’t even have to show the antagonist.

They allowed the vox pops from earlier in the film to force viewers to conjure up their own worst fears about the woods, witchcraft etc.

It is quite simply a masterpiece.

Blair witch was utter rubbish. All it did is make me feel Ill due to the awful canerawork. Gets 1/10 especially for introducing found footage to the mainstream.

I sneaked in some beer and got wasted, and then made a fool out myself.

Nope, I wanted some production value not something entirely based on cheap thrills and fuzzy camerawork. It was just nonsense, with no pay off.

Marketing wise- they did do a fantastic job on that, but the film let it right down.

The Strangers: Prey at night (2018) - 6/10

Watched because I thought it was the acclaimed one from a few years ago that I have yet to see.

It was fine - nothing special at all - didn't like how the motive / character / background of the antagonists was ever expanded at all

Abducted in plain sight: 8/10

Absolutely ridiculous - if it was a fictional drama, you’d be laughing at how dumb the characters were - but painfully interesting, given that it very sadly happened.

I watched it while at The beach. Very surreal (and also very tacky thing to do).

Baz and kash on last warnings.

What for? I just asked which was the right Room movie as there so many.
