He's a better player and defender than he has shown so far. New team and all that. But the way Klopp sets up, no matter how good you are, you'll look rubbish. Klopp is the German Rodgers. Just has a bigger reputation.

Virgil would be best suited in La Liga playing for aMadrid or Barca, where he doesn't have to anchor a defence. His strength is more attacking wise anyway. PL centre backs have to be defenders first, and he lacks there. He'll be sold after he still doesn't show up next season. TBH, I thought he was an impressive player, but now I'm thinking once again, I just really don't know sh*t about football sometimes. I'm just glad we didn't go in for him. I also thought Daley Blind would be our next Michael Carrick. Glad I never quit my day job. Then again, I could have maybe been the next Klopp!
I still think Blind has every attribute to be a class DM. We'll just never see it at United 😞

Currently. New team, takes time to settle in. He’s a better player than those two, though I’m loathe to admit it. We should have signed him. Although bailly is a proper beast, and as good as Jones has been this season, I think bailly will be a top 5 defender in the world.

He defends better. Not as good on the ball or as threatening in the attacking areas as VVD. However positionally Jones is the better defender right now. He's been an absolute rock this season when he's had different partners to contend with.
