Sometimes you just have to take the hit and accept you’ve made a mistake. I’m sure inter would take him as a make weight for icardi. Jose accepted he’d made a mistake with mkhi pretty quickly so why not?

I don’t think the Glazers are stupid enough to let go of a £75m investment so easily, and at the managers expense as well. You seem to forget it was his signing and he’s playing him every time.

Why would Inter take him ? Icardi is great. Lukaku is exactly as advertised from his time at Everton. Technically weak, flat track bully, needs a ton of good service who's pretty lazy unless motivated by a move/money. Shows no signs of being a big club superstar other than his ridiculous wages & transfer fee and that's all down to United... sorry... sold to you !!

Should he be guaranteed a starting spot though? Sure he is fine for games against maybe 14 PL sides, but against the big teams he simply isn't offering anything, we are carrying him.

It isn't a coincidence we look toothless and lack ideas against the other big teams, you can buy, sell, drop, start whoever you like it'll still be the same outcome IMO.

That said, I actually thought we responded well to going 1-0 down and thought we were going to knick one before half-time, Lukaku did well with the one chance he had 2nd half, forcing a good save from Lloris but he had little to no service after that.
