The one that has been sent back inside was housed not far from where I live, about 15 miles away. People found out, and he was hounded out of town. Rightly so. Some people are beyond help. I don't really advocate the death penalty (better a guilty man walk free than an innocent man killed), but nit's what he deserved. His guilt was beyond doubt.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Babyen. He was in my home town for a while in Gwynedd. Not sure if the 15 miles you mention is the town but he was there. Didn't last long. It's difficult to hide a young Scouse lad in a town of 5,000 people when the majority speak Welsh as a first language.

Crimes of this nature? So like any murder then?
It was dealt with properly, in a court of law and a sentence was passed by a judge.
That's the proper way, that's how life works.
Its a system that was designed by people far more intlegient than yourself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The justice system is flawed. Always has been, always will be. Lack of common sense and restricted by rules passed down years ago, that has no relevance in today's society. It's always been the case.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok then, so what's the alternative?
No rleevence to today's society
I couldn’t read up on it and I couldn’t watch it, I would get too angry and upset.
Nothing says showing respect for the young boy like spelling his name wrong.

You can't compare British and American prison systems. It makes sense to keep people in American jails. Especially private ones as they make money from it.
In England they don't.
The American system also causes more problems than it solves.

That is an opinion that you have formed based on emotion. You've had an emotional response or responses to some things you've read or heard, and that has lead your thinking.
It isn't wise to form criminal law, rehabilitative law and judicial policy based on emotional responses.
It is wise to base it on hundreds of years of evidence collected, interrogated and reasoned in the fields of law, criminology, jurisprudence, human psychology, sociology, etc.

You're advocating the execution of children. Would you personally be prepared to put the noose around their necks, tighten the rope, pull the trapdoor and watch them twitch and die - a couple of badly messed up 10 year-olds?

ask that question to 100 parents of a 3year old and its probably going to be very close to 100% of them saying yes

Saying "yes" in the context of a discussion like this and actually being able to perform the act are two completely different things, however.
And again, the response of those people would be based on emotion, not evidence or reason.
They aren't saying "yes" based on an understanding of child behavioural development and psychology, of internationally accepted and legally enshrined standards of human rights, of what happens to a child's body when it is hung to death, or more widely what is actually best for society.
