Start the season a month earlier. Use that month for a winter break in January.
Finish at the same time.
Plus being able to enjoy games in the sunshine would increase attendances theoretically

Start the league at the beginning of july? Like a week after the end of the world cup or euros? no preseason training, no tours, just straight into the season? Can't imagine it'd work.
Truth be told, the stacking of fixtures around the holidays completely diminished any remaining importance the fa cup had. As soon as the holiday fixtures were done, pretty much everyone, Leicester included, played the reserves in the cup to give players some break time.
maybe just take 3 weeks off at the beginning of january, play the fa cup matches midweek.
But as mentioend, it matters little what the clubs want, its down to the tv compalines

I think our have had one over the last couple of games..
Take 3 weeks off in Jan but play the 3rd and 4th round of the FA Cup in that period.
In that way clubs could decide whether to field their first team or send them all to La Manga for a bit of rest, fire extinguisher action and unwelcome accusations from the local female population that sees half the squad banged up for a few days and field their reserves in the cup.

Good point. The more teams we have staying in Europe, the better the UEFA coefficient.
The idea , if implemented, will probably see a reduction in the number of teams in the Premier League ! 😡

To have a break in January would compound the problem. Take this January very few matches called off due to the weather. We might then suffer bad weather for a couple of weeks in February. Not only are we playing catch-up with the January fixtures but the February ones as well.
I do like the idea of playing the cup games in January.
