Groves is too big and powerful for Eubank. Think he will stop Eubank in the late rounds.

Eubank's 1000 punches a round technique is nowhere good enough for elite level fights. Volume punching is like a footballer who has rubbish technique but runs around a lot to hide his deficiencies. That's what Eubank does but in a boxing ring.

Volume punches never hurt calzaghe

Fair point but Calzaghe did have a strong amateur background compared to Eubank Jr. Eubank trains on his fitness more than anything. He also doesn't have a trainer. He has Ronnie Davies but he's just there to hold the spit bucket. Also read somewhere that he doesn't even bring in high quality sparring partners.

I hate groves, can I hate someone I've never met? Bit he's too big too strong for eubank in my opinion. I couldn't see JR trading with Froch the way Groves did

I don't mind Groves. He's become a bit of a weirdo since the Froch fights and the Adam Booth split but definitely more likeable than James Degale.

Eubank Jr is a volume puncher but he has a lot more in his arsenal. He has speed, decent chin and mentally he is the stronger out of the two. What will be interesting is how Groves fares in the later rounds because we know he gets tired where as Jr has incredible conditioning and he will be throwing a lot of punches late on.

mentally I dont think he is stronger than groves, and there is nothing to suggest otherwise. According to Eubank and his team the reason he lost to BJS was all mental, he didnt working in the fight earlier on due to his mental state, it was nothing to do with his fitness, he knew he was in terms of endurance far better than BJS but didnt start working until he was miles behind on the scorecards despite being told to over and over again in the corner by Tibbs. The fact that he thinks that he knows better than those far more experienced than him shows mental weakness also.

Groves has been at this level for a lot longer than Eubank, he knows what it takes mentally.

Hopefully will be a cracking fight. Eubank, probably via decision.

Very good fight can't wait, and one i can't actually give a committed prediction to, mind changes daily, and can see every scenario win for both fighters. Do have a funny feeling Eubank will win but hope Groves sparks him out, him and his dad are both muppets
