pretty similar to have Castillo fattened up in the corales rematch a few years bk, he knew the extra weight would give him the edge in a 50/50 fight so basically made no attempt to make weight, corrales being the warrior he was accepted the fight and gt ko'd, Castillo despite losing 10% of his purse was able to carry that win on to a pretty decent payday against hatton a little while after that

Different scenario though because Quigg is a completely different type of fighter and doesn't share any of the attributes Castillo did, namely the power.

My post is nothing to do weather they share the same attributes it was to point out he took a similar chance in missing weight and hoping those extra pounds paid off which thankfully they didn’t

Yes he did, the guy was moving up in weight and missed the weight ffs , I also read somewhere he refused to weigh in in the same day(dnt know how true that is) and adding extra weight isn't just about punching power I’m pretty sure you know that, it affects a whole host of things that’s why the gap between lower weight classes are so small, the guy weighed in at closer to super featherweight which shows he made no attempt to get down in weight once it gt close

Then you need to let your opponent know and not carry on the charade, if that was the case that’s even worse if he no intention getting to weight, like I said he came in at almost the super featherweight limit so almost 2 weights higher than his last fight, no excuses for that

Have never really rated him and always thought he was too podgy and slow, but have to say Parker looks in fkin tremendous shape already 2 weeks out

Ritson v Cardle on Whyte Browne undercard. Hopefully another blow out. Prob turn off after that as don't think whyte or brown are that good tbh
