Emenalo was hounded out of the club by the fans and frustrated by others on the board. He took a lot of blame from people who had no idea what he did, his family were threatened, he received death threats and his wife and kids tipped up at Cobham once as they thought they were being followed and were escorted home. Why would anyone not take the role at psg when he so clearly wasn't appreciated in his role?

I doubt JT or Lamps could do a better job at this stage, as players they couldn't help keep managers we clearly appreciated such as Ancelotti. Whoever takes the role needs to be capable as well as having the support of the fans and board because I'm afraid today our fan base does not tolerate anything less than success. I mean we are currently Champions, have been twice in the last 5 years , not bad considering there have been 4 different names on the trophy in that time yet you'd think we were about to be relegated or something. I think we were more positive during any of the three relegations I've experienced, okay maybe too far maybe not.

We're are going to win the league every year, nor are city, get used to it .

JT is a Chelsea Legend. Cannot and will not dispute that.

But as a Chelsea Manager/Head Coach the last thing I’d want is somebody I’d believe to ultimately want my job. Which I think JT would like some day.

As much as I am grateful to Roman, If we got another Batesy tomorrow with half Roman’s personal fortune I would take that in a heartbeat.

I'm not entirely convinced that applies to all our fanbase, or even for the majority, even if we've got so used to winning things.

I'd say that the owner is the one who is the most ruthless when success isn't delivered. Having said that he'll have to learn to be much less ruthless now that the purse strings have been tightened.

An ideal start before even going into new DOF, would be to get a manager who properly subscribes to the club's long term vision

Does the club have a long term vision ? If so I'd love to know exactly what it is.

Well looking at the academy progress and our stadium plans we evidently do.

Problem seems to be our manager appointments go against the direction we seem to try and take. Mou came back when we were signing players that were the atheisis of his style and looking to build an authentically pleasing side and Conte is throwing tantrums became we aren't spending like the Manc clubs and PSG.

I think Conte is just very unsure that the players that the club are bringing in at the moment are good enough for a club with PL and CL aspirations.
