Come to think of it, the woman I was on about did mention that although she had a boyfriend she was thinking of leaving him as all he ever talked about was Luke Shaw.

Back in the 80s I found an iphone in the uber I was riding in and it had an email address on the back. So I emailed that guy who turned out to be some kid who had actually stolen the phone. What I did next will shock you. I got an uber to his house and gave him the phone. I said to him “you must be in a bad situation if you need to steal phones, you need this more than me, and I hope this act of kindness makes you realise that there are good people out there”. Many years later I found out that the kid grew up to be none other than Mother Theresa.

Quite embarrassing how she still preferred boring talks about Luke shaw to strap on action with sloth. Said she found the experience celestial, ‘looking at sloth was like staring into the face of a star’ I asked which type of star, she said ‘a stinking brown one’

I once got to school and told my older brother about a wallet I'd found at "the mound" an old place we used to mess around at.

Was only about 7/8 years old, brother 10 or 11. It was about 18 years ago so money was obviously worth more.

He asked me if I'd handed it in, to which I replied "did I feck - here's the 40 quid it contained but I've thrown the wallet"

Showed it off a bit at school, told people my Dad had given it me and Kelvin for fishing gear.

So we went to the fishing shop after school, rinsed the money on two fishing rods and all the gear.

Walked home with it, but walked around the back route and stashed all the gear in a bush.

Got home and police were waiting for us asking where the fishing rods were.

Took my bro in kitchen whilst I stayed in front. Apparently a teacher had got wind and rang them up. They didn't need a calculator to do the maths.

Asked my brother where the money was from and he started to tell the mound story

When they told him £40 had gone missing out of our kitchen drawer - where the mortgage money was kept - he started crying and dropped me right in it.

"It was all his idea" he told them.

We still laugh about it to this day.

I remember the night before getting a 20 thinking "ah my Mam will just think she's counted wrong". So I went and got another

What a little eh?

My brother that is, for grassing me up

Well did you break the phone ? If you did then she is totally right to be piised off.

Returning a lost and now found property is gesture to be applauded. However, if you are handing lost damaged goods, then this gives rise legal case. She feels that a social contract and legal obligation exists in this circumstances, so that you have to take a reasonable care whilst handling a property that belongs to her. A failure to take such care can result in you being liable to pay her the damages of her lost property. If that’s the case, then she has every right to take to you to the court.

Shinjy

That is the saddest thing I have ever heard.

What two young kids, in their right mind, would waste 40 quid on fishing rods.

I have to admit having lost my wallet, coat etc a few times ive usually been lucky enough to have it handed back in

My daughter lost her blanket in the local supermarket and she was distraught but very happy when she got it back.

I know!! I didn't even particularly like fishing but we lived 10 mins from a lodge and a new shop had opened not long before.

They got put in the attic for a while, before my Dad crumbled and we eventually got them.

well I hope you have learned your lesson, don't be so quick to judge others

So not the Chianti then? I’m sure you’ll rectify this with your Fritzl basement conversion- it’s why you moved to Germany wasn’t it?

when i first moved to passau for uni there was a famous club there called "frizz", which is where you would go at 5 am if you had not pulled (as you can imagine, i was a regular).

my mate who was also starting there but arrived a week earlier told me that the club was jokingly referred to as "fritzls keller" by the students which means fritzl's cellar in english.
First evening of uni, i was invited to go to a girl's house for pre drinks with some of the other new students and all evening, as i got more and more drunk, i kept referring to fritzl's keller, "can't wait to get to fritzls keller", etc.

I eventually passed out drunk and was never invited back. my mate told me that he had been joking the next week. everyone at the party must have thought i was an utter psychopath. good times.
