Well did you break the phone ? If you did then she is totally right to be piised off.

Returning a lost and now found property is gesture to be applauded. However, if you are handing lost damaged goods, then this gives rise legal case. She feels that a social contract and legal obligation exists in this circumstances, so that you have to take a reasonable care whilst handling a property that belongs to her. A failure to take such care can result in you being liable to pay her the damages of her lost property. If that’s the case, then she has every right to take to you to the court.

I have to admit having lost my wallet, coat etc a few times ive usually been lucky enough to have it handed back in

My daughter lost her blanket in the local supermarket and she was distraught but very happy when she got it back.

I've lost keys, phones, bank cards at least 30 times.

Never had anything handed back

Fackin women

Me and a mate were in a sports bar type place, not like a Yates or anything quite a nice one, but with plenty of screens. We'd been there a while sat at a table that should fit 4, and the place filled up.

3 lasses were wandering around up and down looking for a table carrying 3 glasses and a bottle of prosecco on ice.

I'd say one of them was decent, and her two ugly mates. But we weren't gonna be much longer anyway so asked if they wanted our table and we'd stand against the bar for our last pint and leave when the match was done.

The ugliest one chirped up "we've all got boyfriends".

I was shocked to be honest

My mate told her we were only offering our table, she said thanks, and he told her to f**k off and stand at the bar.

My only story I have was when I was going through a phase of printing my own dodgy banknotes, found a wallet outside my gym and used it to swap the real money in it for fake money and handed it in to the receptionist. Had a right knees up afterwards, if only I knew what happened to the person who’s wallet it was... probably ended inside. Oh well.

Wow, the attitide and ingratitude of some people. That phone could've been in Cash Converters in 10 minutes of the wrong person instead of you found it. I would seriously have given her a piece of my mind, literally torn a strip off her in public, what a miserable cuuunt.

Not really got a story like that, but about 8 years ago I'd been to the races with my mates on the Saturday, abosoljtekt cleaned up, went to the gym on the Sunday and when I got home I couldn't find my wallet. It had over £800 cash in it from the races. "That's facking gone then" I thought. Called the gym, wallet had been found on the steps outside and handed in with every note intact. Similarly to yourself, when someone is honest like that as the person on the receiving end it restores your faith in humanity. The shame was the receptionist didn't get the details of the person that returned it, so I couldn't get in touch and thank him/her.

Weird that, I found a wallet outside a gym once full of money and I handed in at the gym being the good citizen that I am

Must've been good fakes as they were spent on recreational drugs, booze and easy women 👍

I have no doubt in that at all

I remember reading a story about Sir Bobby Charlton finding a wallet stuffed full of money outside a gym. Seem to recall he handed that in as he didn't need any money due to the nice sideline he had nicking stationary from Old Trafford.

I was walking up to my mates with my son for a BBQ and he spotted a wallet on the side of the road. I didn't count the money in there, but there was a good few hundred quid and a load of betting slips. There was also some ID and a phone number with a name on, which turned out to be the owner's sister. The owner turned up at the BBQ an hour later to collect and tried to give me £20 reward. When I told him that my son had found it he gave him the £20. A nice touch for a 6 year old and a good life lesson.

He should've used it to settle up his slate at the bar and tip the complimentary chauffeur. Not that £800 would put a dent in that parasitic old barstards slate mind

Could only happen to you Viddy

I had one of those single mums who think the world owes her something because she keeps popping out kids but not keeping a man try and tell me “you need to move because you’re in my way” in the bus a few months ago.

Told her she can ask nicely like most humans do and I’ll happily oblige. She refused to ask so I stood where I was. She then starts mouthing off in front of her kids (about 3 or 4 of them, all 9 or younger I reckon) that I’m a diiickhead, an idiot etc so I just told her to stop embarrassing herself in front of her kids, which provoked her even more to the point she starts shouting “I ain’t scared of you, who you trying to intimidate”

Still wasn’t moving as I told her it’s not her bus and she didn’t ask nicely, she then says “well then stand wherever the fack you want then”.... erm that’s exactly what I did in the first place before she started flapping her gums

Just shut her down in front of everyone within earshot and then some of them joined in and started telling her to shut up. Got off at my stop a few stops later and she’s still mouthing off while I’m just grinning and next thing I know some other woman has squared up to her
