had Christensen not played the ball right across our 18 yard line we'd be going into the 2nd leg with a 1/2-0 lead.
Team selection was spot on tonight, Willian, Kanté and Azpilicueta were superb, Hazard less so.
So all in all have to disagree tonight.. Not sure what else Conte could've done.
The Chavy One do you agree that Willian deserved a hattrick today v Barcelona.He was the best player on the pitch today.

Played the more experienced Luiz. Had Luiz made that elementary error this board would be condemning him to oblivion. Having said that all the greats and about to be greats make errors of this magnitude. Never the less would put my trust in experience over youth for this type of match.
For all of Barca's possession they should be going into the 2nd leg 1-0 down, they could have gone into it 3-0 down, I thought Conte did well tonight.

I actually don't see how it's possible for one team to have so little of the ball for 90min. Even the ball boys and crowd get more touches.
One mistake will ultimately cost Chelsea their place in the quarters. Chelsea did play well, but when you defend for the majority of the game, an error is always likely.
Think Chelsea showed to much respect for too long and should have been a bit braver in the second half. Morata should have subbed in way earlier. Best player was Willian by far.

Barce won't win if they play like that throughout CL, no threat on break, no pace. Courinho would help as would playing Semedo at RB and Dembele RM

Hazard is wasted up top, Chelsea looked more dangerous when he was moved out wide.
Morata could be key in the Nou Camp.
Big slippy C at the back had a stinker.
When you play Barcelona you know that they are gna have the lions share of the possession, there's no point in worrying about that. We have seen this every time that we play them and it doesn't faze us. The only thing that matters is the score and at the moment we are still in the tie. That is all you can hope for against this quality of opposition.
Eibar were more of a threat in the first 5 minutes against Barca at the weekend than Chelsea were all night. Getafe were far superior defensively the week before and got a clean sheet at the Nou Camp. Chelsea are a lower third La Liga side at best but are going on about their 27% possession they achieved like they have won the CL. Barca were not used to playing such weak opposition compared to what they play week in week out in La Liga.
