Probably.... They still need a Keeper & a CB and for Keita to be as good as he's been in Germany. Cant see anyone getting within 10 points of them tbh

Defending a title is a lot harder than winning it first time round.

i understand what your saying in principle but if Man C do what they done this season, they'll be right up there again.

Liverpool and Wolves

With a new keeper likely and Keita joining, we will be stronger for sure.

If we get Pulisic (unlikely), we will be a very dangerous side.

As for closest to City, I can’t see anything other than a similar scenario to what we have now were a handful of clubs will be vying for 2nd spot.

Arsenal. All we need is a new manager, 2 CB, A DM, a winger, a RB, and a keeper then we’ll be up there

Can't see any major departures for either Liverpool or Spurs, so they'll definitely be right up there.

If Liverpool get in Allisson then they've got the GK position sorted. I think they're one top class midfielder away from a serious title challenge. Perhaps Keita will be that man, we'll see.

Spurs not far off. Just need a better squad. 1st team is already full of quality.

You can't write United off. They'll spend well over a hundred million to get in a few top quality players.

I worry about Chelsea, tbh. Not sure of the direction they're going and could potentially lose Hazard & Courtois. Think they'll struggle.

Arsenal are a write off until Wenger dies. They won't bother the league leaders much.

Really? Tell Liverpool fans that.

You went 26 years without winning a title and then defended it successfully many times

I assume this was funny in your head?

2/10. Must try harder.

As a City fan I would love City to win it frequently, but not every year, I don't want to watch the SPL thank you very much. But to defend it once would be great.

FAKKT

It took United 26 years to win the league and then they defended it 6 times

Liverpool seem the most obvious contender next season, dynamite in attack, steadily improving at the back with Robertson and Van Dijk both surely nailed down spots. Even Karius hasn't looked like throwing one in lately. Keita should be a good replacement for Can, still need another top CM and an attacker wouldn't hurt. If anyone bar City is to win the Title I would go Liverpool

Spurs if they can settle into the new Lane quickly and don't have any top players poached from them this season they would be battling with Liverpool for the best contender. Still desperately need a new second striker.

United would need to overhaul the style, which would be a huge ask in one summer.

Arsenal not in the debate imo, Wenger must go before they are relevant again.

Chelsea are in serious trouble of losing their top talents and manager. But you can't right them off as they seem to follow up a bad season with a mad one.

Strengthen this summer and get a good striker and new pitch being up to standard i think we will really challenge next yr
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Think SPurs will be able to put together a challenge. And Chelsea too, we'll have a new manager and back him financially.

The players we have aren't too shabby. And Courtois seems to be the only player seriously looking to move to spend more time with his offspring

If we retain Hazard and keep our together along with adding 1/2 players who improve our starting XI we'll be right up there, no doubt.

Haza is staying, reckon Courtois may want to move home to see his kid

So we may need to buy

GK

Azpi
Rudi
Christensen

Zappa
Kante
NEW CM
Emerson

Haza
New CF?
Willian/Ped

Therein lies the challenge

One thing City haven't done domestically is win back to back titles.

Would be nice but I think next season will be much closer.

Take away City’s last minute winners and there would have been much more pressure.

Not sold on Zappacosta as a first choice RB if im honest but its definitely an area we could upgrade in.

Assuming Courtois stays then we need a RWB, CM, LF (Back up to Hazard) and a striker.

My thoughts are:

a) city had an exceptional time this year, they have dropped off... not the level but the bit of luck they had keeping the run going. I don't see it being as big a gap anyway next year

b) Utd need to resolve 3 things. central defence, negativity of mourinho and consistency. They are not far off city but IMO that team is being held back by negativity

c) Cheslea are a mixed bag. commitment seem lacking from courtois and others. that needs sorting.

d) spurs. moura might be the one that links things. they need to keep everyone and add pace up top. not far off but cannot compete on 4 fronts

e) Liverpool... need GK, Need CM and need to keep everyone important while adding to squad.

f) arsenal. nowhere near. need shut of wneger and new coaches in right across the board. seriously under performing team.
