Ok, maybe they arent the most comparable players but they are both centre mids so if you were building a team from scratch and could only select one of the two, who would it be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would depend on who else was picked before them in mf. Balance innit?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fack me well in the current team you support, Who would you rather play for them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On ability pogba, but seeing he only uses it half the time, kante would be more effective.

Completely depends what the team needs. Both are very rare players in that on-form they can effectively fill the role of two players.

If I have nothing but technically gifted playmakers I want Kante in the squad. If I have nothing but efficient grafters I want Pogba in the squad.

With Pogba he just hasn't produced the goods.
------------------------
Of course he has... Ever heard of Juventus, or France? Even at UTD, he's produced goods, just not consistently.. mainly due to being in a formation that just doesn't get the best out of him.

Kante has the formation setup perfectly for him... If Pogba did, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Must confess only watched him against us with Juve, and bar the occasional moment of brilliance, he didn't impact the game. Never been impressed with his performances for les bleus. He's supposed to be a glactico. Not much sign so far.

Seems easily pushed off the ball for his size
----------------
err, what? He almost often comes out with the ball, this season... Even in the most unlikely circumstances.

Even on Wednesday, he was surrounded, but managed to use his strength and skill to do a 180 and move the ball out

Pogba is obviously a more naturally talented footballer and athlete but it don’t mean shiiit if you don’t have it in the mind, and he doesn’t seem to.

Kanté maximises his more limited skill set and you would be mad not to want him out of the two.

Pogba has wrong coach.

He would be great at Chelsea alongside Kante under COnte

posted on 23/2/18

I've probably been blinded the fact that in all of our best teams, we've never had a player in the Kanté mould, so I don't really see the need for that type of player. Having said that, Kanté at this moment in time is better at what he does than Pogba is at what he does.

Kante... is any managers dream,no question.
Pogba...leaves too many questions unanswered.

And did nothing of note with the ball after doing that, and lost the ball several times trying to be clever.

He’s got a very low football IQ but is a very good instinct player.

Excuse me? Were you actually under the impression people watch Pogba before making their lazy criticisms of him?

They don’t need to watch him! £90m dabbing Sissoko since he doesn’t score a hattrick every game!

Think of the great midfielders... I’ll chuck in Mackay, Bremner, Souness, Robson and Keane.

With Pogba’s physical traits, skill, price tag and and expectations he should be aspiring to that level, as it is he’s just been very expensive vapourware so far. Massive disappointment.

Kante’s a tidy enough player but has no place in comparisons like this.

one is a attacking midfielder (when Jose lets him)

The other is a defensive midfielder

Pointless comparing them both

Kante is replaceable, plenty of water carriers in the premier league.

Pogba when on form is another level but is being misused and mismanaged by the not so special one. Under a decent manager there would be no comparison. Pogba all day long if i had to choose.

Terrible description. Water carriers hold position, Kante covers the entire patch. He's a very unique player.

lol
the absolute rubbish some united fans talk,
think hes a better player cuz he gets more publicity
id wager that Kante is more effective going forward than Pogba

granted pogba isnt paying for the right manager but

to call kante a "water carrier" shows how little you knwo about football beyond the superficial.

there was a quote from mate saying that hes dissapointed that kids go up to him now and ask him why he doesnt dye his hair, when they could be asking him how he takes a free kick or pass the ball well etc

Thats you.

having a snapchat and dabbing and getting youtube veiws is more important to some

I think it's easier to find a player with Pogba's skillset than Kante's these days.

I assume you mean mata?

That’s sad of true, as it shows the cult of footballer is becoming more important than the game.. Maybe mike judge was right with idiocracy...?

To be fair if Mourinho had Kante he'd probably use him as precisely that. Nothing can jeopardize team shape when defending. Would be such a butchering

3 goals is appalling.

He's missed 3 months in fairness.

like both of them, but i'd take kante.
pogba with a better manager would do so much better.

Kante’s a far better player. Anyone labelling him a water carrier and such don’t watch him play.

He missed 3 months but United didn't miss him in 3 months. That says it all as well as 3 goals in 24 appearances.

I have little doubt that Pogba is the more talented footballer but if I were building a team right now then I'd choose Kante. And it wouldn't even be close.

I suspect Pogba may still come good though. Something's wrong atm but he's got tremendous ability.

he is all hype and nothing else, he has an excellent pr team but at the moment he is known more for dabbing and funny haircuts than anything of note on the field i cant even levy that blame on jose, thats all him

jesse lingard is a insufferable man child but at least he backs it up on the pitch
