City don't care about promoting academy players so he had to leave in order to make it.

Yet we have promoted several youth players into the first team this season.

The facts don’t lie.

I’m sure we’ll have a clause should we wish to buy him back for 90m in the future.

So you are disputing we have promoted youth players to the first team this season.

Please argue against it with words if you can.

I understand why he moved because city haven't been giving youth a chance. But diaz has made the same amount of appearances as him. In sancho favourite position. So im sure he would of got a chance, but judging from the last few years at city. I can see why he left.

He wanted a move to Arsenal as all his mates are down there, settled for Dortmund instead.

Daniel Sturridge 2.0 in the making.

Never seen him play, was he above Foden in the pecking order, and rated higher by those in the know with academy football?

Fair play if he took his chance and moved if he thought it was right, I can imagine stepping out the academy and into the number 7 shirt for Dortmund would be a very big deal for a youngster.

May prove too early, looks like he's not been getting too much game time?

Another youngster in a good age group that hopefully England utilise in the future.

He won rookie of the month last month in the Bundesliga and has made 8 appearances even though he's been injured a lot.

He will make it. The boy has the lot.

Hope so, nice to see a young English lad making it for a big club abroad.

He looks like a good prospect. Hopefully Wenger will be gone before he inevitably joins Arsenal so he doesn’t get ruined

There’s a fair few people involved in youth football saying it. I think the city academy coaches are quoted as saying they were blown away by him when he arrived.

There’s a thankless task for you, being a city academy coach. I guess the money must be good though.

Not saying he doesn't have the talent or physical attributes. The guy looks a great prospect from what little I've seen (as does Foden), but so many promising careers go wonky for different reasons, mostly often related to the player thinking he's made it before he really has.

Sancho reportedly turned down £30,000 a week from City, so I doubt Dortmund are paying him any less. It's pretty understandable to think you're Billy Bigboots when you're 17 or 18 when everyone around bends overbackwards for you, you start getting jetted from party to party, fast-tracked into the reserved areas in the most exclusive nightclubs and introduced to the hottest supermodels.

A lot of these kids get carried away by the excitement of it all, and who could blame them?

He has the potential to be excellent. Now to 21 is critical though, so much changes in that time.

We offered him a good deal and Guardiola asked him to stay. We couldn’t guarantee him what he wanted though (which I thought was the right call by us). Good luck to him, wouldn’t be surprised if we did a Pogba in a few years time depending on how it goes.

He’s getting games and starts so he’s done the right thing. City have given academy graduates the least playing time out the top six this season, and I can’t see that changing when Pep wants two or three fifty million pound players for every position.

Bit of a misleading stat though to be fair, although I agree with the sentiment.

Petrol running out owners bored no youth you get the picture.

Bitterness is all it is pure unadulterated bitterness.
