What did Conte say at the start of the session? We don't want a 'Mourinho' season? We're not far off it.

Exactly Mr C. That was him st the time trying to send a message to the board but I would now say his own attitude has made it become a self fulfilling prophecy:

In a game that we had to win yet do nothing when we go 1 0 down is a disgrace.

Yeah. He's been at it with the board right from the off. More so than any other manager. Even Jose. Surprised Roman hasn't given him the boot. I want him to stay but whats the point.. Don't even think he wants to stay

We had 45 minutes to make something happen and all we did was walk around clueless with no subs to change the game. I am appaled

After today I have to conclude he does not want to stay

Biggish

He has wanted to leave for a while now. I read somewhere that it's already been agreed that Chelsea and Conte will mutually agree to part at the end of the season. Hence why he has a 'could not give a fűck' face at the moment

Why make us so shiiit now then? Seems like he wants a payoff to me.

He appears to be using the team to send a message to the board.

Well my message to him would be to stop using the club I've loved for over 50 years as a pawn to make his point - if you don't want to be here get out now.

I'd had a lot of sympathy with him up to now, over the new players he's been given to work with but his constant moaning about it, instead of getting on with the job is slowly eroding that sympathy!

Obviously it is mainly coincidence but there is a clear differentiation between Chelsea pre & post the Mourinho/Conte spat.

It's felt like he's been trying to force the club to sack him for a while now....

Would he be have walked if he was still on his original salary?

And as i said in my own pre match article.....i almost wish he'd taken the Inter job now.....because it has now got muddy.

I am sure that Chelsea will beat Barca and at least put a better performance v Barcelona at Nou Camp but I want Conte to attack Man City as we could have won the match with a bit of bravery and urgency from players when Chelsea had conceded and even with Giroud and Morata,we could have been much more of a nuisance for Coty offensively.

It's obvious that he wants out. He wants to win but wants unlimited funds in order to do so. There are only a handful of clubs who could afford to give him the funds he wants. Good luck to him at PSG, AC Milan or even RM.

Conte, Hazard and Courtois are all leaving Chelsea this summer.

Probably add Fabregas to this list. He is past his prime and looked totally inept today.

Totally agree with you on this Brum. Rafa Benitez must be fed up with the support Ashley is giving him at Newcastle but to his credit he seems to be more willing to knuckle down and try to make the best of what he's got for the sake of the Club and the supporters rather than keep banging the gong of making a point to the board and undermining their fight to keep the Club in the division.

Supporters do become tired of you getting the excuses in before you even play the game itself. You'll never win anything if your players have been convinced by your own manager to go out with the mentality of accepting that they are simply not good enough to even compete in the game.
